Hello there,

currently i have got a gamebreaking bug during my witcher2 gameplay that causes me beeing unable to proceed with the game.
Following the guide:

I should be able to proceed with option 12 A , due to my decision sending Stennis to Jail. But in fact the game will only let me walk through option 12 B so i am unable to reach Henselt. This causes not to get the blood and therefore breaking the game. Even reloading older saves won't clear this bug.

I would highly appreciate if somebody could give me a clue how to deal with it, preferably a console command.

Are you using any mods ? Did you cross the mist only 1 time when trying to obtain Henselt`s blood? I see you have Gwyhyr in your inventory, you killed the golem to get it correct?

Since you have the Armor of Loc Muinne and are on the Vergen side of the mist, the situation you are in is that you have already crossed the mist and returned. You cannot cross again; that save is a dead end.

Do you have a save from before you returned? Preferably just before you went to the Nilfgaardian camp, or after you killed Vanhemar but have not tried to enter the Kaedweni camp?

(Gwyhyr is given for "Baltimore's Nightmare", which can be completed before the business with Stennis. But the Armor of Loc Muinne must have come from Vanhemar, who you meet only in the Nilfgaardian camp.)

No I don't use any mods. Its correct that i only crossed the mist once(walk to the camp and back again). I got Gwyhyr after i returned from the mist , because i finished the nightmare quest after returning.

I have a wide varity of savegames available due to the fact that witcher 2 most like to Crash to Desktop on my pc.

It would seem that you`re missing a piece of conversation when you talk to Roche before entering the upper Kaedweni camp . Geralt should say "One more thing Roche . I need some of Henselt`s blood" or something to that effect

I have another savegame starting with my progress right at the battlefield and i am 100% sure that this line wasn't said by Gerald. I can also upload a savegame with this status if desired.

If it`s before crossing the mist then upload it . Is this a disc install and upgraded to EE , Steam , etc.?

I`m sorry i was watching for a new reply . Edits don`t show up ad being any new material or dialog added. I`ll download it now and see what happens .

Nope the same result . No chance to get Henselt`s blood . But i`m going to take your save and reload it and finish some of the other quests first to see if maybe there`s a trigger there somewhere . In all of my previous plays the mist was the last thing I did that was connected with retrieving the items needed . So maybe that`s it or maybe not . Time will tell .

No luck so far . I have a suspicion that it has to do with either the Walls have ears or Suspect: Thorak quests as those are sub quests of the main quest .

EDIT :
My suspicion was incorrect . After completing both "Walls Have Ears" and "Suspect: Thorak" and retrieving the Dun Banner from the Crypt then crossing the mist the outcome was still the same . No option to obtain Henselt`s blood .
