Now that...that makes me really really sad.

I played every Black Hole game and I loved them all. If there was any developer who helped the RTS genre survive in any way it was them.

One could argue it's their own fault since no one forced them to spend that cash on the game when they didn't have to, BUT they did so in trying to make a better quality title.

So yeah, fuck you Ubisoft.

Now, if only Homeworld could be saved...

Setting up an IndieGoGo page, he says teamPixel is looking for funds to do three things: get the original Homeworld on digital retailers Steam and Good Old Games (it's not available for either)

Homeworld on GOG would be the gaming news of the year, on par with CP2077 and TW3 announcements.

Message from Metro's FB page:

On behalf of the entire Metro team here at THQ, we would like to say thank you and goodbye to all of the fans. As you may have heard, THQ as a publisher will cease operations today. Metro: Last Light has been purchased at auction by Koch Media/Deep Silver. It's a sad day for us but please know a few things: You guys are amazing and your support and kind words have been inspiring to all of us. The game is great and it WILL be released. 4A Games will of course continue to be the developer.

phew!

DS2 wasn't straight port, it was working fine with m&k. DS1 was straight port though, and i rather not have downgrade to ds1 from ds2. I had to spend hours fixing ds1 and still couldn't fix that fucking retarded FOV.

I think when they are talking about straight port they are referring to graphics and not mouse and keyboard controls.

The article talked about texture quality not being higher on PC and about DX11 and how they wouldn't be there.

Straight port is game with fixed resolution, fixed fov, broken framerate, console controls and other console bullshit that need to be fixed with mods. Just like dark souls or dead space1. Dead space 2 was playable on pc out of the box, and it was fucking good. If they are talking about straight port then it means they are just gonna make console version somehow run on pc.

Man I wish 2033 didn't give me major motion sickness - the look and feel of those first few hours was beautifully bleak but things got so bad for me I had to put the game down.

I'm a little nervous about Metro because I think Deep Silver gave Risen a bit of trouble (it originally had Tages and it took them a long time to upload the developer's patch to Steam which disabled the Tages).

I'm really nervous about the South Park game. It was one of my most anticipated games this year, but I don't even want to know what Ubisoft will do with it (Always-on DRM? U-play integration? Delay the release especially for the PC version?)

Ah Metro Last Light, yes i'm seriously excited for this game mostly because it's been a long time since any FPS even remotely interested me so if it turns out to be good then it's a first day purchase, no pre order though, those days are long past.

I think it's really round around the corner... The official word is sometime around May.
Or maybe during the Summer holidays if they push it at the last minute, but I dont think they will. The game looks crispy slick.

I decided if I have to play only one shooter in 2013 it will be Metro Last Light. I don't even like shooters, but Metro 2033 kept me hooked from start to finish.

PC does not equal Windows. Personal computers run many different operating systems, like GNU/Linux and, why not, Windows. PC games should be available for all major platforms. Let's not be handcuffed and tied to one vendor. Utilize standard, cross-platform technologies!
