So the kickstarter needs to hit 21 million then. Yeah...I have about a hundred dollars so I hope you bring the rest.

Here goes another Kickstarter campaign I can't not support... *sigh*

At least Wasteland 2 comes out this year. I hope after these two campaigns inXile raises enough money to support the development of their next classic RPG.

Let's see if we break Project Eternity's record! Real computer RPG's are coming back!

Updated my journal.

Think i'll stick £35 or so in their kitty, what i'd pay for a new game, it's my genre and thematically seems interesting and I know a few of the names on-board have the developing chops. Still pissed about Avellone not writing but them's your knocks.
I was once asked by a journalist what my thoughts were on the modern world slipping into ignorance and apathy, I told him, "I don't know and I don't fucking care!"

Wooot! :D

I haven't backed a single kickstarter yet because I want to see how they turn out first, but I may just jump on this one. Not sure if I really want a follow-up to the great game that was PST, but these chaps will hopefully be able to pull it off.

There was something in the FAQ about stretch goals, that said something about wanting to include more writers, some with names we may know. We'll see what happens there, but we can speculate it will include him. First they want to make the initial goal, then reveal stretch goals later.

Hehe, how amusing. Apparently I need Amazon to pledge. So after all this time, not pledging because I wanted to see how the other projects turned out, apparently I can't pledge anyway!

I deleted my Amazon account because they were such big cunts when the Wikileaks stormed raged and they were a tool for the US government, and I'm not signing up to these assholes again. If I can't pledge any other way, then I'm out.

Edit: I sent them a question about it, but don't expect anything useful to come back, if they ever do.

Yes, but it looks like we can only do that after the project is backed, and then it's obviously too late to get in on the early 20$ deal that I wanted. Oh well. We'll see what happens. But I'm not signing up to Amazon again, ever.

I think they have to be funded(or almost funded) to set up a paypal option because they only get the Kickstarter money once they reach the goal.

Once they reach 1 million or so they will probably open Paypal. And there might still be $20 pledges available, many people actually *want* to pay more :P

I'm considering one of the physical tiers this time. Always opted for the basic digital packages.

@Pagaea,

Judging by the Wasteland 2 footage we saw recently, the fame of people like Colin McComb and Monte Cook, Brian Fargo's portfolio and the general quality and commitment shown by inXile, I'd say this is a sure investment :)

And this is not a follow-up, it's a "spiritual successor". That is, a game that implements similar mechanics, but a completely different concept, campaign, setting and story.

Traditional computer RPG's ARE coming back, this time DRM-Free AND multi-platform!

They may well end up hitting their goal of 1.000.000 later today, the first daya of their campaign. :P Thats crazy...

Theres a good pledge tile, for only $45, you can have both games, Torment and Wasteland2. Maybe I'll pick that up...

Most successful "high" profile computer games on Kickstarter reached their goal on the first day.

And yes, 45 for Wasteland 2 and Torment is an excellent deal, if anyone, for some reason, did not support Wasteland 2 ;)
