I was curious, if after i brought the letter back to yaevin from vivaldi. is asked what they were preparing for. he said a war, and i had a choice at choosing sides. if i choose non-humans, what are the pro's and con's? and like wise for humans? would i still get shani's second sex card later. or will that not be able to happen because she is human?

want to know so i choose the proper side for me.

Pick whichever side you feel most comfortable with. It affects who are your allies at certain parts of the game, some dialogues, which blacksmiths you can visit, and has some minor impact in the second game. It doesn't mess up your chances with Shani, and there's no right or wrong decision.

You also get a couple of chances to change your mind, to a certain extent. The decision in Chapter 2 has no long-term impact.

Only a few, and none of them have a huge effect. If you want to see the impacts, there's a list here but be warned - it contains spoilers for both games.
