My PC crashed hard and I lost everything. My fault for not backing it up. Just ordered the TW2EE; however, before installing, I would also like to install the original. I downloaded 1.4 & 1.5 from here: http://en.thewitcher...cher/1/updates/

But, I thought I read I need language packs as well? When I clicked on download the language packs, I got routed to other sites that were not English (I am in North America) so I could not read what to click.

Are the language packs needed? Or can I just reinstall and patch?

You won`t need all the language packs , only the one that you intend playing with . Look to the right of the screen when the page loads and scroll down a little and there should be enough of English so that you can download the language pack of your choice or use Google Chrome to automatically translate pages in a foreign language to your language .

You only need to setup the 1.4 Patch as it`s the only one that requires the language pack(s). Make a new folder and put both the language pack(s) and the 1.4 patch (TWEE) in this folder . Then open the folder and run the 1.4 patch as administrator .
