Texture Details Problem

Bear with me, I have done my research and all I've gotten for the inability to change my texture detail is, it cannot be done unless you have an nvidia or an ATI GPU. I use Intel HD 4000 (which seems to be the problem) and have already tried regedit which, unfortunately, gets reset every time I enter the game. Yes, I must use the -dontforceminreqs as I cannot start the game from the steam launcher or the witcher launcher. Is there possibly any way to get around this unfortunate little graphics problem? I'm quite content with playing low since it's really the plot that I'm interested in, but I would also like to enjoy this with eye candy as well. Also, would like to point out one more thing, I can play games like Batman Arkham City on highest everything so it shouldn't be a problem of if my laptop can run it; it will run it if given the chance, even if it's just on medium. Please help and thank you to whoever can help.

Here's a nice little specs list for those who need it:

HP Laptop
Windows 8
Intel HD 4000
12 GB RAM
i7 core processor
Provider - Steam
Everything is up to date driver and software wise

If you rightclick the game in Steam and selects "Set launch options", it allows you to add the -dontforceminreqs .. Hope it works with this game! :D

As for the other stuff, I don't know how to solve it :/

Holy... you can run Arkham City on max settings with Intel HD 4000? Integrated GPU's are getting crazy... also optimisation on my poor HD 5850 must be shit for that game.

Correct me if it's not possible, but I have a question for you really techy people whom look onto this: could there possibly be a way to disguise the Intel GPU? As in, make it seem like it is an Nvidia or ATI product even though it's not, much in the same way that Nvidia Control Panel makes the Nvidia seem like an Intel GPU. Of course, without damaging anything

None that i know of . I believe that would need to be called a GPU emulator and haven`t heard of anything like that being available . I would think it would be easier to disassemle the witcher exe and remove the requirements check .

Assuming that you mean another way other than the -dontforceminreqs, do you or anyone else know how to accomplish this?

Well, thank you regardless. At least it gives me a clue as to what to look into. If it works, I will probably post the how to here for others with the similar problem. If anyone else knows how to though, please don't be hesitant to tell me or even give me an entirely different solution
