I have tried and tried to save the women in the tower to no avail.. I keep dying trying to save the third elf woman... Is there a way around this or skip ??? I started playing games on a commadore 64 (my late 20's) and my fingers are not quite as nimble as they used to be ... Maybe someone can post a save or a mod giving me more time to save the women so I can play [sic] with Iorveth ..??? Any and all help will be welcomed.....

Thanks, j2755.

Not sure if dropping the difficulty will make this easier.

I think the easiest and probably the best way would be to upload your save somewhere and post the link . Then someone would play you past that part and would do likewise for you to download and continue with your game .

I suggest you keep practicing if you really want to do that part. Eventually you'll get it. If you killed the Kayran, you can do this.

You might also want to try going after Loredo instead, when he flees into the town. It is a worthwhile confrontation.

PC does not equal Windows. Personal computers run many different operating systems, like GNU/Linux and, why not, Windows. PC games should be available for all major platforms. Let's not be handcuffed and tied to one vendor. Utilize standard, cross-platform technologies!

I never even tried that. I just assumed he got away and the only option was to save the elves. Posted Image

Yes you can and that path is quite special.

Hah, that's why I love this game :)

Yes, you can and Iorveth will have something to say after that: I tried every choice and I can just advice to do the same, this game have a lot to offer, hidden in choices :)

I cant see how anyone except a true psycho would do that. Allow Loredo to burn them alive? It would also mean that Geralt lies about why he jumps of the ship.

Oh, then you can go after Loredo. Just after he burns the girls you see him run to the city, run after him and you can confront him.

Also not sure If disabling QTE [Quick time events] in the Options menu would make this easier.

A quick word of warning - going after Loredo is fun, but it will, of course, remove the possibility of one particular sex encounter in Chapter 2. Choices do have consequences, guys. :)
