I think what CDPR could learn would be how to do cities. Yes there are a lot of problems with the AC series but it's cities are amazing.

Ah, well I have seen Rome ingame but question for the people who play their game. Does Assassin's Creed only have the one giant city and nothing else to explore like in *gulp* DA2? I want Night City to be big but I also wanna see sewers, underground cities and such if they exist in the Cyberpunk universe.

AC1 had 3 cities, plus Masyaf, and then the "Holy Land", which was a pretty big map with villages, military camps and such (though it was utterly pointless, there were no missions in it).
AC2 had 2 main cities (Florence and Venice), plus Tuscany and Forly which have small cities and a big landscape, and your villa Monteregionni.
AC: Brotherhood had Rome, but also the region outside the city.
AC: Revelations had Constantinople which is their biggest city I believe, and an underground city that you visit during a segment of the story which name I forgot (makes Orzammar look like shit).
And this is not counting the dungeons you can explore.

Yep and in AC 3, you have 2 cities and a huge open world map named frontier. We have also our own land and we can upgrade it.

Granted I don't think we should really expect something as vast as AC games. I mean they have around over 500 people working on each AC game ( perhaps even as high as 1000 ) whereas CDPR doesn't have anywhere near as many.
Then again Ubisoft does make one AC game per year whereas CDPR does spend several years on each game so there's that.

I saw AC3 Desmond ending which got leaked like a week ago.
It's so disappointing and it's full of plot holes. ›››

OP is talking about cities...
They can absolutely "copy" cities and wilderness from AC3 and Read Dead Redemption. The Witcher 2 cities are a step in that direction tough but they can be upgraded.
Also they can do something like "Homestead" in following games(its not really fitting The Witcher setting tough) Our own living town with farms, foresters, hunters and such, we are upgrading it and helping our friends. Detailed crafting and trading like AC3 would be good too
Also them naval missions!
Nothing is true, everything is permiteed.

Well sorry buddy!
The cities are kind of too 'level designed' at least with AC1 to AC:B. The city looks weird with all this stuff you can climb on that's too conveniently there that it reminds you that this is video game cirt and not a real city.
I'm that guy who won that t-shirt.

I'm a sucker for crafting. How is AC3's crafting system on a scale from 1 to Star Wars Galaxies? ›››
Uhm, thats quite a "scale" there
You get some crafters, artisans on your homestead. Do their quests( which differs from pig herding to hunting an albino panther) and they level up after each quest which allows them to craft better goods.
Crafted goods have a very nice diversty too. And there are many recipes we can find from chests around. Most crafted goods can be sold via land/sea trade convoys, we can craft our "upgrades" like dual wielding belt or ammo pouch also some unique weapons and lastly inventions of Benjamin Franklin.
Land convoys can get attacked which needs to be respond (by us or other assassins) or it gets destroyed and we lost merchandise :/ There are many different stores we can trade with and they offer different prices(some pay good for food and medicine other want wigs and furnitures etc). Risky areas means less profit (i think that must be opposite) and if there are forts controlled by redcoats in the area, we pay taxes.
Nothing is true, everything is permiteed.

Different people, different tastes. I didn't like cities in AC that much. They look like cities from movies based in historical times - they look kinda amazing, but at the same time they look artificial as hell.
I prefer to see cities more realistic. More garbage, puddles, shit, urine, dirty people, homeless kids and scumbags on the streets. Grass growing between missing rocks on paved streets, door with rotten planks, dead rat here and there. Overall - more misery, less breathtaking views.
I think that CDPR is more than capable to do amazing medieval city. After all, 5 years ago, they made Visima and they did it with very limited engine, limited resources and team of rookies.
All what I would suggest would be making it crowded as in AC - I really liked it. With rest I would trust CDPR's vision with full trust.

Yeah, I imagine so, as those times are considered as more dirty. I think that cities in prior games were cleaner because great cities like Rome or Constantinople are known as amazing and beautiful cities thus devs showed them so. But I believe that those great cites were full of horse shit, garbage and urine too.

Well, Constantinople, Rome... they enjoyed a sewer system and wastewater collection which engineers are still copied today. And they also had a very effective cleaning of roadways. I can not imagine the centurions dodging horse poop or slipping on them. The Roman military dignity would not allow such a risk. The filth and dirt appeared centuries later with the arrival of the dark ages of medievalism and the deculturalization of the people.
