Yeh,i like the QTE fist-fight system. Its more fun and fresh.I like the QTEs in the kayran fight too,but i understand the rage of some people who might play it on insane difficulty when they miss it or dont get it right :D/>. ›››

The moment with the keyran tail would be my only complaint but it comes very quickly, sometimes it even doesn't (bug?) and the logo is written in orange making it hard to distinguish from the background...

But then again, other than this one I didn't see anything wrong with QTEs.

The Witcher 3 will probably be released before this mod kit.

Well January is also the first half of 2013. They could have been more specific about the release date, though.

I'm curious whats possible with those tools.
I had some ideas which were not worth the effort/impossible to hack without proper tools.

As far as I know, it will be possible to mod the core game, meaning that we can create new weapons, armor, items, quests, characters and more, and put them in the core game. This is great, since we can both edit the core game, and learn everything by exploring the core game's scripts and stuff. I'm definitely pumped for the REDkit, but it's taking so long for it to be released :(

As far as I know it will be possible to create completely new game, that means they will release source code, like Source or Unreal.

Redkit is a toolset for The Witcher 2, but you don't get RedEngine or any source code. You can read some available info on http://thewitcher.com/redkit "...create complex, story-driven adventures in the world of The Witcher 2."

No, I don't think they will release the source code. But it will be possible to create totally new adventures, or create adventures inside The Witcher 2. I'm curious how they will implement this, though.

Even without a source code you can do a lot. I am sure there will be some creative mods who don't look or play anything like The Witcher 2. :)

It's really bumming me out that CDPR hasn't released any info about the REDkit since the showcase video, and that was six months ago.

New REDKit screenshots on Twitter right now. It's coming!

Those areas look vast. I like that.

I suspect it will be out around E3 time. Or maybe at the time of the second anniversary of TW2?
Either ways looking forward to playing the fan made adventures. Perhaps I'll try first time my hand at modding after my exams.
