Honestly I don't see why Elder Scrolls fans wouldn't be The Witcher fans too since they're the same genre of games althrough The Witcher is more story-driven.

I think The Witcher and The Elder Scrolls are on two different ends of the roleplaying genre. I like both franchises a lot, but I can understand that some Skyrim fans wouldn't touch The Witcher. Some people just want to explore an open world and hate the "small" areas of The Witcher, whereas other players want a great story and cinematic sequences and atmosphere and find the world of Skyrim just plain boring.
The Witcher 3 will have both and I hope it works out well. I'm pretty sure of it.

TBH, the thing that bothered me most in Skyrim is probably the graphics through that gets fixed with mods.

Also exploration gets a bit boring after a while I mean every single dungeon and such feels like the same, you kill some bandits which takes a while and nothing really useful pops out.
