Hi Tommy!
Been trying for last two days to unzip and place in the: documents\the witcher2\savegame\
i used winrar to unzip. it never gets in game. can you help me please.
i am not to sharp about the PC, except to play most games on it.

Your save game will or should be in Documents>witcher 2>gamesaves . Just look for the one with the latest date and time . When you have it just click on my avatar and look for my email address and send it there .

dont understand i have downloaded the file and unzipped it and it shows up in my savegames file but not on my game when i load it to play..... i don't understand what i am doing wrong? rgaut0952@yahoo.com is my email address if you need to send me anything.

First things first - have you uploaded a file for someone to play through? It is NOT recommended that you just take someone else's savegame, as you'll get their stats, equipment, decisions and so on. So please upload your savegame from before the fight to a hosting service such as mediafire, then post the link here. Somebody can then play it through and give you your own game back, not someone else's.

Regarding the location of the file, are you using the Steam version, and do you have Steam cloud enabled? If so, the process is slightly different. You may need to turn Steam Cloud off temporarily, see instructions here:

Sorry the last one was a bitmap file and this one is the Sav file. that is what you needed right?

It's the right kind of file, but it's a save from AFTER the kayran fight. Is it maybe the one you picked up earlier?

The one you need is probably the QuickSave.sav that has the same date/time modified as that bmp file you uploaded earlier, or an AutoSave file with a date modified that ties in with the last time you tried the fight.
