While playing TW2 through again, this time the EE version, I thought I noticed 2 differences about the Kayran fight (both with normal difficulty):

1. Only 3 tentacles need to be hacked off in order to get to the final part of the fight, not 4.

2. In stead of hurling rocks at you during the final climb to the kill sequence, the Kayran simply reaches for Geralt with his remaining tentacles. And the route you have to climb seems less logical, so that Geralt can often get stuck behind some invisible barrier and get killed.

It never was 4; it was 3 tentacles ever since the first version.

I don't think it ever did throw rocks at you once you made it to the bridge. It will still throw rocks if you take your time getting to the bridge.
