I don't know where in town to go

Any help would be appreciated!

I noticed this quest is not even in the guide book that comes with the game why is that?

PS Also how do I unlock when I level up unlock the spell tree list to the left and the skills to the right and below? ALl I have unlocked are the top skills on the level up screen? Thanks

You need to go to the Dwarwen smith in the south of Flotsam, close to the wall. You can ask the dwarf to trade, or to craft something for you. You may need to purchase 2 silver ores from him, but the rest of the components are easy to find. Then you need to ask him to craft something for you and you should be able to handle it from there.
When you reach lvl 7 the rest of the skills trees will be unlocked.

First of you need to get the crafting diagram for the Witcher's Silver Sword. It's in a box near some merchants in the harbor. There are orange sparkles around it so you can't miss it.After you get it find a craftsman. The nearest one is a dwarf in Flotsam's nonhuman district who you can easily spot on your minimap. After you collect all the ingredients needed, ask him to craft you an item, select the Witcher's Silver Sword from the menu and click on "craft".

You must put your first six talents into the Training (top) tree; then the other trees will unlock. (This means you must make level 7.)

For "A Sword for Monsters", there are two ways to play it.

When you left the boat in "A Rough Landing" at the start of Act I, there was a quest-important chest on the shore. In that chest was a plan for a Witcher's Silver Sword. Go to the smith, buy what you need (you should have iron ore and timber, but you probably need to buy silver ore), and craft it.

I'm going to spoiler my preferred way, because it isn't obvious.

Either one completes the quest.

The smith also sells a silver plated sword, less effective than a witchers blade but its acquisition still completes the quest.

Huh. Odd. When I played that game I already had a silver sword. I guess if you don't import a save, you have to get a new silver sword. That's actually pretty awesome :) Go Red!
Tearing my hair out, trying to figure out why there aren't any non-human Witchers, or at least something equivalent to a Witcher oriented warrior.

Pretty good results i`d say . We ask not to include spoilers in the General Discussion area for the folks that haven`t played the game . To include spoiler tags try it this way .
