Have you made the lightning rod? Have you talked to the Druids about the storm?

I've made three new adventures for TW1; you can get them at corylea.com/.

I've also made a bunch of mods that fix bugs, kill annoyances or tweak gameplay; you can get those at the Witcher Nexus.

Okay, here's a saved game for you. You can get it at http://www.mediafire...10t26sz0jf9nmco

In this game, Geralt has the lightning rod, and he's paid the druids to start a storm. You just need to add the lightning rod to the golem, then fight it. Remember what the druid told you about the pylons.

In this game, Geralt has 8 of the sephira, all of them except for the one you're about to get from the golem and the one that Raymond gives you once you've found the other nine. Some of the sephira have been placed into the obelisks and some of them haven't; just check your inventory for the ones that still need placing.

Difficulty level is medium. Abigail was saved in Chapter 1, and Geralt went to the lab with Triss during the Prologue.

This is mid-way through Chapter 2; you still need to talk to the Salamandra prisoner, have Shani's party, and do a few other things. Most of the investigation into the various suspects has been done, though; you can check the journal for details.

Have fun!

Oh, and I've put the save file into a folder and zipped it. You need to unzip it and also take it out of the folder before you put it into your The Witcher\saves folder. I put it in a folder because otherwise the saved games have unhelpful names like 000248 - Swamp Forest-248.TheWitcherSave, whereas this is called Chapter_2_Ready_for_Golem.zip. ;)

Any chance to get this savegame?

I can't find my older savegames anymore and I want to skip some things in the beginning, i already checked your savegame folder at mediafire, but it doesn't seem to have this particularly savegame and the link is private/offline.

Okay, I've made the link public again.

I had originally made it private because Chapter 2 is very complicated, and it really helps in understanding what's going on if people start Chapter 2 from the beginning. So I usually recommend that people who want to skip the early part of the game use the end of Chapter 1 saved game that I have here. That's after killing the Beast and picking up Shani; all you have to do is walk up the hill and talk to Mikul, and that starts the series of events that begins Chapter 2.

Thanks. Couple days ago i started to watch a Let's Play of the Witcher again (kinda a yearly habit) and after 5-6 hours i always get the urge to play on my own, but i don't want to "replay" the last 6 hours i just saw and this time i couldn't find my saves anymore, probably a victim of reinstalling Windows :s

If you reinstalled the OS then more than likely they`re gone. If you want to play the game and have no saves I do have quite a few available . Just tell me when and where you were and I might be able to help you out.

thanks for the help, but "ready for golem" is more or less the savegame i needed, some things are already done, but many are still to do.

But i'll come back after the next reinstall ;)

Still baffling how big Witcher 1 was and how many things are to do, it's kinda a shame that TW2 got slimmer/shorter for other aspects, but still both good games.
