Naming saves went away looooong ago. I'd like it back too, but I'm guessing that was only standard with PC games back then. I can do it with some of my GoG titles, and what a luxury! ›››

Age of Decadence and many indie games have this feature so telling me that CDP or Bioware or Obsidian or EIDOS can't put that in their game is plain lying. :coffee:

regarding the OP: that's what OS profiles are for :D

(not for Steam) Enhanced Edition gives you "application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000142)" error? See here

I really liked the Dragon Age: Origins profiles and saves user interface. it was clean and functional. It is really annoying to look for a specific save amongst 200+ saves, with some of them named the same. It also makes my C: drive constantly full, because those saves are large and numerous

What I would like to see in Witcher 3:
- save profiles
- some dedicated autosave slots (for last cca. 5 autosaves)
- renaming save names
- a quicksave slot

Heheh, nice thread resurrection. And you're right, profiles are excellent particularly in a game likely to be played more than once. I certainly would've made use of it in TW2. It would be great to see it in TW3 & CP2077 and the future.

DAO's system is the most memorable one, very usable.

Great idea.
Why would someone disagree? Please, a valid reason.

I don't see a good reason against it. But it is not a priority for me. Two reasons:

First, you can get the same result by making different user accounts in Windows.

Second, I'd prefer to get the ability to name saves sooner rather than later.

making multiple user accounts in Windows is not a solution for me. it is like having to terminate explorer to play age of empires 2 (not HD version). it also makes your computer less 'clean'.

I am not sure I see the problem; just do a fast user switch without exiting anything.

Cleanliness is in the eye of the beholder; to me, a computer with different user accounts for different tasks is better organized, not worse.

I'm not saying profiles are a bad thing, just that there is another way to get the same effect.

What I figured out is that the quicksave slot does exist, but for some weird reason many times when you press F5 the game marks the saved game as an autosave rather than quicksave so it takes up an additional slot anyway.
