I think CD Projekt RED should add individual profiles for The Witcher 2 on PC so you can have multiple saves which don't get confused with each other so I can have one save with and another save without transferring my Witcher 1 save over! ›››
yeah we need separate individual profiles for the TW2

Well, whether they do or not make profiles this mod is amazing and does exactly what I wanted it to do!

Thats usally the case with multiplayer games isn't it? I feel like there should be third option in the poll. How would profile system help if 9/10 of us would play on one profile all the time? Instead of using profile system to separate the save games they should let you choose which playthrough you want to load game from if you decide you want to play using older save.. Mass Effect had good and clean saving/loading system.

PC or XBox? You can always just copy and rename the gamesave directory.

For PC, just set up multiple user accounts in Windows. I can see the need for profiles on 360.
Even though the autosaves get numerous, I keep them until I've finished the game. Then they get archived with 7-zip before I delete them. That way, if I want to research something about a particular path, I have them handy for that purpose and out of the way for normal play.
But if I want two games going at the same time, I just use two user accounts.

I normally keep my different playthroughs in folders. I just have two the "Canon Geralt" and the "NonCanon Geralt". Canon Geralt was Neutral in W1 and did the Iorveth path while NonCanon Geralt took Seigfrieds side and took the Roche path.
I'm that guy who won that t-shirt.

would be very appreciated if this is implemented in future titles (or who knows in the next update ha!)well as dragonbird said still manageable, I simply transfer my necessary saves by creating folders like "chap 1 end pre-decision", "roche save - aid roche", "iorveth - cure saskia", "iorveth - aid triss", and well "rose of rememberence"

This has been discussed/suggested before, and we all agree that both Witcher games need better savegame management.
What I do is manually delete older saves and when I finish a playthrough, I move them to a different location inside a specific folder name, like "alchemy build" or something like that. I only backup the later savegames, to use in a future import.

PC does not equal Windows. Personal computers run many different operating systems, like GNU/Linux and, why not, Windows. PC games should be available for all major platforms. Let's not be handcuffed and tied to one vendor. Utilize standard, cross-platform technologies!

I agree with you, at my home I'm have many people ho like ''The witcher'' games and wants to play, just we have only one PC and a game without individual profiles!, so I thing it makes a perfect sense do address this in feature...

What I really want is the ability to NAME the save games. Other games have been doing this since the 90's, and when TW2 was in development, we requested it, but the CDPR spokesperson said it would be too difficult. I don't understand -- if other games have been doing it for more than a decade, why is it too hard for CDPR?

I've made three new adventures for TW1; you can get them at corylea.com/.
I've also made a bunch of mods that fix bugs, kill annoyances or tweak gameplay; you can get those at the Witcher Nexus.

Naming saves went away looooong ago. I'd like it back too, but I'm guessing that was only standard with PC games back then. I can do it with some of my GoG titles, and what a luxury!

I really, really hope they address both issues (naming savegames and separate profiles) in future games, but I'm not sure that I'd think it a good use of resources to go back and "fix" TW2.

No, not really. Not universally. Players could name their saved games in Dragon Age: Origins, for example, and that game came out in between TW1 and TW2.
