Load Game issues

Also it's even worse if i load while in game (except when i use F9 to load which works), instead of working after 15mins it freezes completely. Game runs perfectly otherwise, i don't see any visible lag and i have maxed settings.
It's just that goddamned load game that refuses to work, it might not be as severe issue as what quite a few people seem to have but it sure is irritating.
PS* i have steam version of the game

There was no error log in the witcher/system folder, havent disabled autosave yet though. It doesnt really crash ever when i try to load game, it just freezes. To clarify it also, the loading itself works...the freezing comes when i click Load Game, it just cant get into the savegame list sometimes. Even when it does it takes eternity.
*EDIT* Also the time for the list to appear seems to get bit longer as i get further in the game, turned off autosave but it wont help so far.

leave only 5 or so in that folder, there is a known problem that if you have many savegames it works slower
also if you have any Antivir add an exception regarding witcher.exe

Yeah the witcher F5 does not overwrite save files but instead creates an entirely new quick save .
Of note when Steam updated the client last week it now takes forever just to get to the load screen of Dues Ex-HR . I`m talking a good 5 minutes . I don`t have the witcher on steam so if you have other games on Steam it might be a good idea to check to see if loading times increased with them as well .
