Hello Comunity, I need some advice. I want to start a new playthrough with the witcher 1 EE, I had it completed with vanilla version 1 (No E.E). Now I want to ask, if there are some mutual mods that you think will enhance the expirience with the witcher 1 E.E. like graphical mods or anything else, and if they will work well together. I have in my mind the FCR mod, Scabbard mod, Hi-Res Characters the hd texture packs, and perfect blood and rain. Any ideas if they are compatible to each other and the E.E version. Of course if you have anything else too suggest you are more then welcome. Thank you all in advance.

The FCR and Scabbard mods have a version that's made to work together. As long as you install that version, you should be fine on that front. The latest version of FCR was just released, so yeah, they work with the EE. :teeth:

I'm not familiar with the texture mods, but all you have to do is download and unzip them, then see if they have any files in common. If they do, you'll need to pick only one version of the common file(s). If they don't, then you're good to go.

I've made three new adventures for TW1; you can get them at corylea.com/.

I've also made a bunch of mods that fix bugs, kill annoyances or tweak gameplay; you can get those at the Witcher Nexus.

I was thinking of doing another TW1 EE run sometime soon. I was going to play "vanilla" EE (which is good enough IMO) but if there are extras that may enhance the experience (like hi-res textures or whatever) I may be willing to give them a try.

So could anyone provide a list of suggested mods, with links? Nothing that alters the core game too much please, just cosmetic.
Facio, Voco, Ferre.

PC does not equal Windows. Personal computers run many different operating systems, like GNU/Linux and, why not, Windows. PC games should be available for all major platforms. Let's not be handcuffed and tied to one vendor. Utilize standard, cross-platform technologies!

There's a list of mods here (not to be confused with adventures, which is a separate list).

You could scroll down the list of mods and see what grabs you.

Different people like different things, so it's hard to make a list of "must-have" mods. FCR is probably the most popular mod, but I like TW1's combat the way it is, so I, personally, don't use it. On the other hand, the running back and forth gets old after awhile, so I use the swamp teleport scrolls and a few other eliminates-annoyances mods.

With regards to the Hi-res and texture packs make sure you have a video card capable of handling them . I would recommend an actual gaming card with at least 1 GB of dedicated memory for handling the extra textures .

You might like the Walk mod as well, it adds to the immersion:

Great guys, with all this mods and the E.E patch it will be a totally new expirience. Tommy I have the Ati 5850 with a quad q6600(OC) and 8gig of Ram, so I think that I will be OK with the texture mods, thank you anyway for the info. Gilrond I will also try out your suggestion on the walk mod.
