2 Questions

Hello. On Christmas I got Witcher 1: Enchaned edition Directors Cut on steam. SO today I decided to play and I get 2 questions.
1. Why I dont have Dismemberment? People said that in this game I can cut off leg/arm/head. But I got 2x less blood then in vids on youtube, and I cut off only 3 heads, no arms or legs.
2. Why when I got sex scene with Triss I got picture in middle of screen?

Dismemberments actually happen a lot in the game, especially in finishing moves. You will see a lot of blood too, but no legs and arms flying, that's true, only heads rolling
Actually this head rolling and lying on the ground, far from the body, causes a small bug in looting: You'll see the "remains" label floating on the head spot, but in fact Geralt will run to the body, to loot LOL

Because this is how it is supposed to be. When you're having sex in the game, you get a small blurry animation in the background, a red veil covering it and an erotic artwork in the center. They're simply called sex cards. In TW2 the "gotta catch'em all" sex cards game is gone, and you will see the animated sex scene, with no prudish red veil

1: I do not cut of legs and arms either only heads
(( dunno about the blood ))
2: I dunno i think i had a picture aswell...well its not like you see details anyways and Gerald is always wearing underwear hehe
As far as i can remember from the witcher 1 is that sex is always covered with a card
In witcher 2 its a bit less covered

the 9800 will run the game TW2 if i remember right- i don't remember what settings though- but these other cards were recommended in other threads : (GTX 460, GTX 460 SE, or an AMD (ATI) HD 5850, 5870, or better) . I think it's great you are planning ahead for your enjoyment of the next game. These are Tech questions really so you might want to search around in The Witcher 2 Tech part of the forum - there are many discussions about what setup works best
mods I use are: Classic Dice set- ( sorry Dev's the new ones were beautiful but i couldn't read them)-Dark Magic Pants of the Elder Blood-Good Morning Geralt Face Lift ( thank you :) ) and Return of the White Wolf on a Win 7-64bit i3 4gb ram sad little ATI HD 3650 512 card and it all runs great at medium.

And yes, what about Witcher 2? Is there normal Dismemberments with flying arms, legs and heads? ANd yes, it is well optimazed, cause I get nvidia9800gt and 2duoE7400 and want to play on hight at least. ›››
Why so concerned with dismemberments? These two games have a lot more to offer, combat is only part of the experience
The 9800 GT is about the same as the 8800 GT which is the minimum for The Witcher 2. It will run, but not on High settings that is for sure. Maybe a mix of low and medium settings, at no higher than 1280x720 or similar.

But even if you play witcher 2 on low settings it still looks amazing

Yes! I have a tired old video card that can just barely play the game, and TW2 is still incredibly gorgeous.
Want to be IN a computer game? I'm making one, and I want a picture of you! See here for details.
I've made three new adventures for TW1; you can get them at corylea.com/.
I've also made a bunch of mods that fix bugs, kill annoyances or tweak gameplay; you can get those at the Witcher Nexus.

9800 GT and E7400 should be fine for High at reduced resolution. (They'll struggle on any setting at full (1920x1080) resolution.) I used an 8800 GTS 512, which is comparable, on High at 1440x900. Those older designs have tremendous memory bandwidth, which is very helpful with this game, even if they're not the fastest pixel pushers anymore.

Same as in TW1 basically. But finisher animations are probably a better feast for the eyes.

Wonder the same. But there are a lot of people finding satisfaction in it apparently *shrug*
