Have to agree with this. Paying attention, especially is such a story driven game, is very important. Plus, it's been a practice of warriors of all types to take some sort of trophy after vanquishing a worthy foe so others will be impressed/intimidated.

What did bother me though, was that we were told repeatedly that Iorveth's commando wears masks made of the Blue Stripes' uniforms, but we never, ever see such mask in the game.

Actually they do. Take Ciaran for example, he has one attached to his clothes on the left side of his chest. I didn't recognise it as masks at first either, but there you go.
