I'm fairly new to the whole story and I have a question I hope is not dumb. If you google a picture of Iorveth you'll find a small coat of arms with three lilies on it. He was happy about the assassination of King Foltest (I hope I got his name right) whose symbol is the lilies (all over his clothing). Yet, he wears this king's and people's symbol on his clothing.

Here's an example Posted Image

Those are symbols taken from soldiers he killed.

Edit : Little advise listen/read carefully all that is said in cutscenes and writen in journal. :)

Yes, they are trophies, simple as that.

From that screen, he killed at least two temerians and one knight of the order.

I might add COMMANDERS one... After the story teachs us about him, he's killed hundreds of soldiers and citizens. A trophy from each of all would result a little heavyweigth to wear...

Have to agree with this. Paying attention, especially is such a story driven game, is very important. Plus, it's been a practice of warriors of all types to take some sort of trophy after vanquishing a worthy foe so others will be impressed/intimidated.

It's repeatedly mentioned in the game how Iorveth longs to add Roche's badge to his collection, as he is the last surviving commander of the anti-Socia'tael units sent to hunt him down. So those are the badges of the commanders he's already killed.

What did bother me though, was that we were told repeatedly that Iorveth's commando wears masks made of the Blue Stripes' uniforms, but we never, ever see such mask in the game.

Actually they do. Take Ciaran for example, he has one attached to his clothes on the left side of his chest. I didn't recognise it as masks at first either, but there you go. ;)
I left my heart to the Wild Hunt a-comin'. I live until the call. And I plan to be forgotten when I'm gone. Yes, I'll be leaving in the fall.

Those look more like shields than masks...Anyway, I assumed that they'd wear those on their faces.

I use this mod;

http://witcher.nexusmods.com/mods/279

Replaces Iorveths trophies with that of Kaedwen, Aedirn, Redania and The Order of the Flaming Rose. It's a minor change but it makes more sense story and lore wise to me.
