So i just finished my second playthrough of the witcher 2 and this game is just amazing. some minor SPOILERS follow so be warned.
so at the end of act one you get to choose between following Iorveth or Roche for the rest of the game. It's really impressive how these two decisions give you a completely different playing experience in terms of quests, story, characters and both choices take place in different locations altogether.
In terms of XP points, in ACT 2 on Iorveths path you gain 12,375 quest based XP points compared to 8,525 on Roches path, so if you want to level up quickly and use your new skills sooner then siding wit Iorveth is the way to go. That said there are some cool attributes that you can only gain on Roches path in ACT2. Also the gear and Epic items that you have access to vary depending on who you are following. If you want to level up quicker both story branches offer opportunities to grind out XP and Orens.
personally i liked siding with Iorveth because i felt like the cause of the non-humans fighting for a better life and their rights felt righteous to me but that's just my view.
All in all Kudos to CDProjekt Red for crating this amazing game and it is definitely designed for multiple playthroughs.

i'm on my second playthrough now with Iorveth, but my first choice was Roche. I liked how dependable he was, when i left to get Triss in Loc Muinne i knew he'd manage to get his part of the job done. And he did, he's just that badass.

Iorveth because i love Vergen. + the fight for freedom also you get to save the Dragon.
Also i usually get to lvl 35 by the end of act 2.

and as a bonus: a chance to sleep with up to 3 female beings (not counting the Brothel)
Okay you don't get to do Ves, but the new female in Act 3 was nice.

I felt like Iorveth's path was the best for chapter 2 and Roche's path for chapter 3 was the best.

Iorweth - I don't like kings (or imperators), stupid Henselt etc. Saskia and Iorweth FTW :)
When I see what is happening to non-human, it was easy choice.

I remember Mottle - the elf you can save from the burning tower in Act I, and the succubus. Who was the third?

This mod on witchernexus replaces the white underwear with Geralt's nude model: http://witcher.nexusmods.com/mods/116

But on the few occasions his crotch is actually in view, it just makes you laugh.

Yes they must correct this and put him in some scenes so we can appreciate Gearalt more. But I do support that one post female witchers! I want to pick a girl witcher so I can play it that way with male brothels! But seriously I hope they allow the player to pick their witcher sex in future games and maybe at least customize the girl in game more then just adjust hair style I guess they'll have to do a spin off.

The military camp was just boring.
Vergen was far more entertaing and interesting.
The only good thing about the siding with Roche was Ves.

Cynthia, in Act III (EE, Iorveth path only). (It's a stretch to imagine a "good" Geralt going for her, though.)

"Can girls be witchers too?"

Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think a girl has ever been put through the mutations. Boys and girls are physiologically different enough that there isn't a foundation for believing girls would respond the same way, or even survive. (Ciri had the training, but thanks to Triss's intervention, did not go through the mutations.)

I dislike Iorveth, I hate helping him in Flotsam, but I prefere his part of the storyline in the 2nd chapter.
For me, the perfect expansion to the game would be a sub-chapter, between ch1 and ch2, that would let me to switch sides, to help Roche in ch1, but arrive to the dwarven side of the mist - preferably following someone else, not Iorvrth.

Iorveth or Roche....

Nobody remembers Brenna and how Geralt died by helping no-humans? Or that episode doen't count at all? I've always thought that the fact that Roche talk about it to Geralt in the La Vallette Dungeons was for give us a clue about Geralt's confusion. Till now he was helping courts affairs with Henselt (not very convinced himself) even fighting side by side with an exterminators of elves (Roches) but suddendly he remember he was killed by a human helping no-humans. A difficult dual decision...

(well, you know... my poor engilsh... excuse me!)

I think that actually we don't know if there's ever been a complete-female witcher. Enven though in the TV series there is at least one, Adela, but I wouldn't considered it to be "canonical".
But I think that Ciri could be considered a "witcher" at least in the training.

You actually help Sakia, the peasants and all nunhuman races to get a better life in act 2. Who cares if Iorveth share some of these goales?
