What problems exactly are you having? If you find it too difficult have you considered lowering the difficulty?

The game is an action RPG, and is advertised as such. This means active player participation in the combat. It's a matter of taste whether you like action RPGs or not, but don't call the game "bullshit" simply because it belongs to a genre that you don't appreciate.

I see nothing wrong with it, takes time to get used to, and its not BS. You have to give it a chance. What seems to be the problem? If it's too hard put it on easy.

I think Lightice sums it up clearly without having to go into the 'hate' area. Now, instead of blathering like a bufoon, maybe by actually writing a coherent post we can help you. Because right now, we'd have more of a chance of teaching a chimpanzee English, than assisting you with your problems.

TW2 is a full-fledged action RPG and as such actiony parts are to be expected and embraced. Just roll with it. ;)

It would be easier to help the guy if he maybe, um, articulated his complaint a bit more clearly than just saying the combat is "bullshit". All I can say about that is, he's wrong.

Sounds like that 200% backstab damage is taking its toll. Youtube is your friend, OP. Look up some tutorials.

Whatever happened to people lowering difficulty when they have problems with combat? Nowadays it seems everyone is keen on blaming the game if they can't plow through it on Hard on their first try.

If your just having a rough experience learning how to play. I recommend getting in the arena and playing on Easy or Normal until you get a firm grasp of the mechanics of combat. Got a question? Search for it on Google, The Witcher Wiki or here on the forums. If you find nothing. Then post your question. I was awful when I first started playing TW2 but practice makes perfect. Keep at it and you will win.

Yeah, it's funny. "Hard" is like the old "normal" in most games, these days, but here CDPR makes an attempt to restore a truly hard difficulty, and it takes people by surprise, I guess.

After the tutorial, the game suggested I play on Easy. Like always, I picked Normal first, then played it again on Hard, and then on Dark, slowly getting better as I went. Today I had to replay pretty much all of the "Blood Curse" quest (for an achievement... yeah, I know.) Since the save was on Hard I figured I'd try it that way. Skipping most of the dialogue, I was able to get through the whole thing in under an hour.

Long story short: it's not "bullshit", it can be learned, and you can get good at it. Which means it's very well put together. It's just hard to figure out at first because it's complicated, and the difficulty curve is built more around plot logic than making the game easy to get into at the beginning.
