Here are 6 saves for import to TW2 3 each of Shani and Triss and side chosen , while i cannot begin to remember each detail and or choice made they are here for your enjoyment . Each has Raven`s Armor and either Aerondight or Moonblade for the silver and the Mahakaman Rune Sihil for steel swords and Adda always lived . Unzip and place either in your witcher 1 saves folder or place in your Witcher 2 gamesaves folder . It works either way .

I missed the end of Shani's quest so it was marked as failed, well it's not a bug and it was not my fault since I did not know nor understand the reason why CDP chose that you can't do the 'house visit + party' phase once you reach Chapter 3 although Shani still exists and such. So my question: my save has a "Shani romance" or not? Is the Shani romance even a flag for the import process in TW2?

If you romanced Shani and import this save you will get a journal entry stating what happened and basically why she is not in Witcher 2 .

Thanks Tommy! A while ago, I lost all of my files on my pc because of an unknown reason(probably a virus). As a result, I lost both my witcher 1 saves, and my witcher 2 saves. However, it's good to be able to import your save on my TW2. Fortunately, we have made pretty much the same choices! It's a pity though that Berengar was killed by Azar Javed in your playthrough! But let's not be greedy..

Yeah most of those were done with FCR 1.3 and 1.4 which made it kinda hard to keep him alive in all plays .

It was absurdly difficult for me to keep him alive. I had maxed Igni, Intelligence, and Stamina, and had about fifteen potions on, and it still took me several reloads to keep him alive -- he's just so weak lol.

That and the fact that Azar isn`t a wimp either . He was like the Timex watches in that he could take a licking and still keep on ticking .

That's true, but with my build he's very easy to kill. Unfortunately no matter how I strong I am, Berengar still only takes a few hits to die.

When I fought him, I could fire 15-20 Igni's on a single bar of vigor, and they dealt like 5x normal damage, and I had 1.5k-2k hp, plenty of regen and immunity to practically every single knock down, stun, or whatever he could throw, except one

(For an idea of the strength of my Igni's, it only took two to take down the Big Brothers just before you fight him.)

I tried to hit level 40 on that play through... I wasn't far off it either at the very end of the game, a few thousand xp I think.

Shani or Triss doesn't really have any impact on Witcher 2, just adds a journal entry or not. Whether or not you killed or lifted the curse off of Adda, that in fact, has quite an impact on Witcher 2.

If Radovid is already married to Adda, he'll not plan to marry Anaise, and the final chapter's consequences in Roche's path has some interesting changes because of this.

2 hours online looking for saves just to end up where i should have started in the first place...i cant say thnx enough Tommy!!
i may not have had the time to finish the first Witcher, but i cant let a gem like Witcher II pass me up!

[oh, and Redjohn, there are save editors out there but you need to have Witcher 1 installed..but thats nothing a quick redownload on steam cant fix...]

You must not have tried the Witcher Nexus, either, because Kindo has a huge number of saved games there. In his saves, there's a choice of faction, of course, then a choice of whether Adda is alive or dead, then a choice of Triss or Shani, for a total of 14 different possible save files.

No disrespect meant to Tommy, whose files are very useful. But if you want a saved game with Adda dead, you can get them from Kindo.

And the first Witcher game is also a gem; I highly recommend finishing it.
