I just started playing through again after EE upgrade and chose dark mode difficulty. It even lists dark mode in games settings. However, the dwarf in act 1 doesn't have the dark mode crafting diagrams in his inventory? What gives? Do I have to do something first before they'll show up? I've researched it on the web and some say it's tied to a "Dark Ledgend"? Something in the journal? And there's some book possibly you have to get or learn first? It's very frustrating because everything I've read says it's just supposed to be there, but it's not... Please help!!!

They should be there. I started a fresh game on dark mode and all the diagrams were there.

all diargrams are there but they are not called "dark' or somethingobserve carefully you should find six diagrams of the same name of the complete set

Four diagrams are of the same name; the fifth and sixth (the swords) have unrelated, but suggestively dark, names. They should be last in the smith's list. You have to scroll down to see them.

not sure if it helps, but i noticed (360 version anyway) that you have to keep scrolling down, to see the ones that dont "fit" on the crafting screen, especially if you just recently received them.

..should also be listed in the journal, under the crafting tab.

i always also make sure i inspect each in my inventory, before i approach a potential crafter. thats just my OCD kicking in, probably.

i havent tried dark yet, so i may be competely wrong, but i hope not, for your sake.
