Letho Fight

21.04.2012 @ 20:43 #1

I know the Letho fight has been talked about ad nauseum. I don't mind fighting him over and over, but what's irritating the hell out of me is having to go through ALL of the dialogue again. Is there someway to glitch a save right before the fight so I don't have to keep spending 2 minutes to do that again?

Thanks!

It should be autosaving immediately before the fight, and it was working for me a couple of days ago (Yup, it took a few attempts).

Are you having any other problems with autosave? Steam Cloud?
PC or Xbox?

PC. Steam cloud is turned off, yet it doesn't autosave before the fight.

Ok, apparently it is a steam issue. I had steam cloud on, and then turned it off, but it's not working. I've tried the guide to turning it off, but it won't find my local saves.

Happens to me for the Xbox as well. It's an annoyance, but just skipping the dialogs helps a little.

I don't get that autosave either, and I know at least one other guy who has the same problem on the PC. Always got bounced back to before the dialogue scene.
He sweats, he bleeds, prob'ly eats spuds, too.

In fighting Letho the first time I recommend going over all dialog options when talking to him. It's a crucial point in the plot and you don't want to skip anything. Then reload to an earlier save where you can buff up with potions, skip through the dialog, and the game should auto save when you're both in the ruins. You'll have your potions in full effect. If it doesn't auto save then somethings wrong, but you can still skip through all the dialog to get straight to the fight.

I think I worked out the "doesn't autosave" only happens when you skip past the very last part of the dialogue, the one that then goes into the fight itself. So on that second time through, the one where you've buffed up and are skipping the dialogue, don't skip the final bit.

Skipping doesn't always cause it to fail to save, but NOT skipping does seem to guarantee that the save happens. This applies to other similar scenes in the games too. I think that skipping just causes it to miss the trigger sometimes.

Ah, the first Letho fight which I totally ignored and got pawned to the point of quitting because I refuse to change the difficulty level.

Don't forget your meds that is potions to be exact hehe if you don't want to humiliate yourself.

It was really hard for me at first so I went and found a YouTube video of the fight and was like .. he ards and gets in his face and beats the crap out of him. I was like no.. its not that easy... This taught me something. Dont be afraid to try a slightly different tactic on fights that seem too hard. Use the signs.. try say... 3 guys come at you.. use Axii on one.. or drop bear traps right before a group of anything and lure em to it.. Yrdin is really nice for some fights.. .. so he likes to aard does he? Aard him back! then get in his face 3 hit combo Aard again combo .. rince/repeat.. done.
