Unable to see dark diagrams for purchase from the dwarf, EE edition, do they show after some quests been completed or are they supposed to be there for purchase from start..

They should be there from the start, from the Dwarven Blacksmith's Assistant opposite the bookshop. Do you have any mods installed?

I assume you are playing in Dark Mode?

I'm having the same problem. I chose dark mode difficulty and it even lists dark mode in games settings. However, the dwarf in act 1 doesn't hav ethe dark mode crafting items in his inventory? What gives? I've researched it on the web and some say it's tieed to a "Dark Ledgend"? And there's some book possibly you have to get or learn first? It's very frustrating because everything I've read says it's just supposed to be there, but it's not... Please help!!!

No, there's no book involved.
Do you have mods installed?
The items should appear in the "Crafting Diagrams" in the dwarf's inventory

I'm having the same problem. No mods installed accept the standard CDProjectRed DLC packages.

Check the options to make sure you're playing in Dark Mode.
Make sure that you selected to buy from him, and not for him to craft something (he can't craft it until you've bought the crafting diagram)
Make sure that you're checking the "Crafting Diagrams" section of his inventory.
Make sure that it isn't hidden behind a scroll bar.

If it's none of these, please post screenshots.

I'm not sure what happens to the diagrams, but you definitely don't get the items themselves, even if you've already crafted them before you switch. You will find yourself with a semi-naked and unarmed Geralt.

And once you switch out of Dark Mode, you can't switch back, so the diagrams would be useless too.

Uninstalled Witcher 2, then reinstalled it from scratch. Dark Items show up finally.
