I would personally want to see:
-A multiplayer duel mode where players can 1v1/2v2/3v3/4v4 each other. (although with signs, this would probably be hard to incorporate. Perhaps players would all be generic soldiers that do not have signs.)
-Combat in which nontargeted enemies can still take physical sword damage.
-The ability to kick enemies that get to close, this will move them a small distance and deal low damage.
-A well-developed sneak system.
-More mini-games!
-The ability to purchase property.
-Fast-Travel
-Bigger enemies and more epic bossfights
These are just some quick things I thought of that I would want to see, what about you guys?

- Grand Master Siegfried returning
- Yaevinn returning if you did Scoia'tael path in TW1.
- Return of other TW1 characters like Kalkstein,Thaler, Ada and Vincent Meis
- Further improvement of the combat system such as including strafing.
- Pro-Nilfgaard path.

- Character progression influencing the story facet of the game (isn't it strange that in story-driven RPG 98% of the stats don't have anything to do with the story, and the remaining 2% really don't impact anything?).
- Some new gameplay styles.
- More quests like the detective investigation from TW1 - not in the sense that they have to be detective work, but with the actual challenge to one's wits within storyline to get alternative result (not necessarily the best one).
- More meaningful consequences from the import of a savegame.
- Closure to the series.

I'd go along with that IF and only IF, the single player campaign does not suffer because of it. When the Arena mode was first announced I actually thought it was multiplayer. You could draw inspiration from Red Dead Redemption which is also a single player game with a rich and detailed narrative, but it still has a fun and entertaining multiplayer aspect. The Witcher 3 could have anything from 1v1 duels to 4v4 groups as you suggest. Why stop there? Add 4-player Co-Op "horde" mode (I think modern games use that terms for: survive as long as you can with your pals). Four witcher against hordes of enemies coming towards you. Start with drowners/nekkers and moves on up through the beastiary. The current arena mode is actually already sort of like a single player horde mode.
Needless to say all of this needs a ranking system and support for friends across platforms. If multiplayer is added you HAVE to make dice poker available to play vs. your friends.

I'm not sure I understand this suggestion. This is already available in The Witcher 2. If you hit an opponent, someone standing next to him sometimes take roughtly half damage.

I'm not sure how I'd feel about that. On one hand, sneaking up on monsters in their own lairs or sneaking past a vastly powerful monster in the wilds sound appealing, but sneaking around trying to steal stuff or because you wanna eavesdrop on a political conversation doesn't sound very witchery, depsite Geralt doing plenty of it.

I wouldn't mind seeing an original mini-game. A well thought out one. I like the one from Knights of the Old Republic (can't remember the name) and I liked Caravan from Fallout: New Vegas too. The AI wasn't very good at it though so it just became easy money. If you add a mini-game with playing cards, you can also have players buy or loot special/additional cards from around the world. Perhaps a side-quest to get some of the best cards. It'd add an extra passtime to the game. If something like this and multiplayer was added, that'd be sweet.

Geralt, home owner. He doesn't seem like a stay-at-home person to me. Besides that'd be boring. If The Witcher 2 is any indication, Geralt won't stay in one place for long and he'll often travel across even the largest of the northern kingdoms. That being said, I suppose you could get around it by re-introducing the teleportation portals. Geralts home would of course need a storage option aswell as a crafting option. I'd much prefer to just have him roam the wilderness and seek out the services of local craftsmen though.

That's a touchy subject for many people. I'm undecided really. Not having fast travel has only annoyed me very few times in the game, not enough for me to put it on my wishlist.

It'd have to be pretty minor stuff since a lot of those people could be dead if you import your saved game. If TW3 is the conclusion for the moment, then I do hope that each character gets their time to shine before the end, but it'd have to be short if they want to include most of the important characters from the previous game.

I don't really see that happening if I'm honest. If we do find ourselves in Nilfgaard and get to meet the Emperor, I'm sure we'll get to do fetch quests for him, but I doubt we could actually betray everyone we met for the last two games and end up aiding the Black Ones more than we absolutely have to.

Fov slider
A UI meant for PC
A "Large Font" option for PC users. I like to play on my tv and the font is incredibily tiny for me. The 360 version has a "Large Font" option idk why it didn't make it to the PC version.
Save slots which each playthrough seperated from each other so it's easier to manage your saved games. Mass Effect does a great job at this. Each playthrough is split by class and then by name. There is one autoslot only that gets overwritten everytime instead of duplicated.

Part of me hopes that the whole Yennefer and The Wild Hunt subplot will remain a subplot. I mean, once you go through dimensions to hunt down spelljammer elves, where do you go next?
Being deep in Nilfgaard and perhaps meeting the Emperor seems like an obvious choice. I hope the entire game isn't just centered around gathering allies and fighting back Nilfgaard. I would like something a lot more original than that. Sure it'd give us a chance to enter Redania and Aedirn (outside of Pontar Valley), not to mention the smaller kingdoms like Kovir, it just doesn't sound very exciting to me.

It won't. Geralt is not that kind of person and writers know it.

- expensive and rare one-piece witcher armor sets, upgradeable and customizable at crafters (for a fee, with their own damn mats)
- More "fun" potion effects - time slow, poison blood, immunities to certain effects, attack speed increase
- The ability to chug a potion mid-battle, but at a higher toxicity cost
- Drinking games, eatable food (maybe helps alleviate toxicity faster)
- Different types of dodges - jumps, pirouettes, not just rolling
- Persistent corpses and seamless finishers (don't take you to a cutscene)
- Silver chain to ensnare monsters at range
- Directional attacks with WASD and the ability to zoom in and out
And autosaves that overwrite themselves.
In places deep where dark things sleep, in hollow halls beneath the fells.
For ancient king and elvish lord, there many a gleaming golden hoard,
They shaped and wrought and light they caught, to hide in gems on hilt of sword."

Good. You conjured up a nice list of what to avoid. Wait what.
Pls. No QTE of any sorts. No big bossfights. It's not GoW. The big monsters rarerly work on any games. They end up just looking stupid and helpless. Just like the dragon at the top of the tower. The endrega queens were big enough and far more enjoyable opponents.
There is no really need for fast travel in Witcher games, since they are not open world (sandbox) game. And I rather not change that to risk the story.
Please, no multiplayer taking any resources to develop a game which is so focused on being a single player stroy sriven game.
Hmm. Whole post starts to feel like trolling.
