Hello lads and ladies, the question I need answering is, should I complete all of the side missions in Flotsam before I go off looking for the Karayn? (SP?) That river monster terrorizing the community or can I finish off the side missions later on?

Thanks!

No. You can finish rest of quests later.

Yes, you will be able to finish the side-quests after. The last point to do side-quests in Act I is just after the mini-fight with Arachas, if you choose "I have things left to do" dialogue option when it's presented to you. This is when you will have all ingredients for Melitele's Heart quest, if you picked up the medallion in the Prologue.

You can finish the side quests later, but be prepared if you are facing the Kayran the first time, as it isn't an easy fight.

Two big helps I've found for the Kayran are:

1. Get the second level of Fortitude, which gives you an extra Vigor point.

2. Finish "The Scent of Incense", which gives you the recipe for Tawny Owl. Take Mongoose, Tawny Owl, and Swallow before Sile calls out the Kayran.

Moving this to Act I sub-forum so we don't have to put everything under spoiler tags, ok?
