Hey,

Prior to the EE, I've beaten him before. I don't remember how, but I Googled to find the answer now, which appears to be 'Win by rolling two pairs', which I've done... twice. I've also rolled a straight, several four of a kinds, many three of a kinds, and so on... I've won against him 11 times now... and he still won't give me the thingy (which I know is nothing useful (for me at least), but I insist on winning anyway.)

How do I beat him?

The "reward" was a link to a promotion on GOG. The promotion expired, almost a year ago. Now the monk refuses to give you anything, or even to acknowledge that you won. It's been that way since 2.0 at least.

Ah, I see. They should remove the guy, because I played him at least forty times LOL

Or have him give you another prize (some armor enhancement, perhaps), along with a fun comment you would've gotten something more in the past ;-)

Really....? So THATS whats up with that guy. That's pretty lame, actually. They should at least get rid of him.

Alas, no. Believe me, if I could have changed this one, I would.

(On the other hand, I wonder if it's possible to change him into a killable NPC? This I would like. Need to go and start experimenting.... )

Actually you don`t need to play him at all . I haven`t since i found out what it was he gave as a reward . It doesn`t take away from or add to the 'Dice" quest in any way . For myself he`s just THERE and i don`t even bother with him...matter of fact i treat him like an untalkable NPC .
