PM I've gotten every set of pairs possible including 2 1's and 2 5's or 2 2's and 2 4's and every other set and no matter what I do he always says I was lucky but not enough.

PC does not equal Windows. Personal computers run many different operating systems, like GNU/Linux and, why not, Windows. PC games should be available for all major platforms. Let's not be handcuffed and tied to one vendor. Utilize standard, cross-platform technologies!

I do believe you've got to win by having two pairs, a rather pathetic score in poker that he rarely fails to at least match. But as Volsung said the GOG offer expired a while ago and you don't recieve anything anymore.
I have waited many years for the Incline to begin. False prophets I have followed and obscure lore perused, but always there has been nought but the bitter taste of disappointment at the end of my travails. Still I do not give up, I do not falter with weariness. Even if it should never come to pass I will still believe and search, for the Incline is beautiful and it SHOULD exist.

It could be a bug (I haven't tried it recently and don't intend to), but as others have said, it doesn't do anything nowadays anyway, even if you win. So you'll probably need to be satisfied with the knowledge that you defeated him, even with no game recognition.
(Personally, I wish they'd just removed it after the promo ended, but who knows, maybe in the future it will have a purpose again?)

I was just about to post something about this as well. I thought maybe the monk fell too many times or something. Just being rude. But now that I know it doesn't do anything anymore, I'll just have to leave it be. I'm a bit of a completionist as well, so it'll bother me for a while.
