The main reason I'm pissed is that I've wasted ~10 hrs and downloaded some 45 Gigs, all for a game I purchased new.

Oh, yeah, because my first reaction on a brand-new CD failing install is to go to a random website I've never heard of...would've been good if someone had opened with 'gog.com is actually a legitimate site owned by the developers'. But no, I had to search & find that out for myself. ›››

Have you tried doing a fresh install of the game, ignoring pre download stuff, and launch the automatic update via launcher? Or simply redownload full EE from http://en.thewitcher.../the-witcher/2/ ?

Look mate, I would not have said nor would the witcher 2 launcher stated it that gog.com was a ramdom website, I have heard about it for 3 years, this is the first time I actually signed up for it, and a digital copy on the web of your game available for download, so that if your having problems with your current game installation.

If you are listening to people trying to help you and your obviously getting frustrated with a dodgy install which should work, I have it working on PC, (win 7 64 bit i7 3.2ghz 6GB ram 1 GB video RAM Nvidia Geforce GTX 570 etc)

I was trying to help, gog.com is not a random website when CDPR use it for you to have digital back up you can download and install on any PC DRM FREE!...

its not like I am referring you to a torrent site is it?

blimey....calm down..just enter your CD key on gog.com, register and download it from them...easy:) I know how frustrated you are I was getting like it monday night with the PC version.....I got it working on my desktop but I did the gog.com thing and downloaded it my laptop, very easy...I thought, heck, all that hassle last night and I should have downloaded it from here easier:)

Good luck ok? I was trying to help:)

Take it easy:)

I'm lazy...after manual download and install wouldn' t launch, I did a system restore to pre-EE, then downloaded the auto update version from this site. Still won't launch.

Guess I ought to do a full uninstall/reinstall, then re-download the auto install version of EE again.

During the night I had my third download of the automatic downloader/installer. Now the problem with "pack0.dzip" is vanished.

Is there some way to find out which .bin file contains the file that i'm getting an error on, after downloading part 2 again, i get much further, past the original error file, and get about 75%, but now i'm getting an error on the file 'bumpers_NA.osm' i think it was.

Can somebody tell me which part this is contained in? I'm downloading 3 at a time and trying again and again. Always getting an error on this file

Guys, try downloading the full patch (not single pack) from here http://en.thewitcher.../the-witcher/2/
do a fresh install of the game, ignore the predownloaded bin.files

That's why I said, download full patch from the link above. Ignore CDP patcher. Only download the full patch and install.

You do realize that not all of us have connections that easily allow us to (re-)download 10+GB, right? There has to be a better solution than dumping everything and starting all over. It literally took me days to pre-download the patch in the first place.

why isn't anyone reading the post I kept updating here: http://en.thewitcher...049#entry806049 ? Why would anyone DELETE 14-45gb of files for JUST A FAILING FILE? the post has all the info one needs to track the bad files and replace THEM FFS use that info already! GO!
TW2 manual install guide from the DVDs? See my post here

TW2 Enhanced Edition Patch install errors? See my post

(not for Steam) Enhanced Edition gives you "application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000142)" error? See here

Yes if simply replacing Part 2 does not work for you, please follow the link ^ and do it. This will let you know which exact Parts are corrupted for you and then you can replace those ones. The point is you cannot move a file when its in use, we use that to our advantage in this situation, whatever Parts you cannot move when you get the installation error, those parts are the corrupted ones as they were the ones being accessed when you got the error, those ones need replacing.

Download Part 2 , then paste it in your EE patch download folder replacing the old corrupted one. After doing that run TW2EE_Patch (installer. Which is located in the same folder) and it should patch the game fine without any errors.

EDIT 3 ( Licaon_Kter ): Before applying patch be sure to check the files first: http://en.thewitcher...049#entry806049

I manually downloaded Part 2 and was able to install until I got the same error again, at 60% progress. Did what Licaon_Kter said in the link and found that I needed to re-download Patch 15. After that, the patch was able to finish installing. I've launched the game and loaded a save file just to check, and everything is fine. The new opening cinematic is amazing.

So yeah, thanks :), this solution worked for me.

My installation is complete, helped me check the md5 of all file and download 20.bin (hash disagreed)
The official MD5 sums here: http://en.thewitcher...-md5-checksums/ the info above applies so that you can track the files and redownload as little as possible.

those checksums do not match the checksums in this post
http://en.thewitcher...ee/page__st__60 which seems to match the manually downloaded files. I have had a lot of trouble so I am re-downloading manually right now (slow work from this location I might add)
