Registration issue (steam version)

20.03.2012 @ 09:11 #1

Hi,

Recently I updated my 320 gig HDD to 2TB raid. Installed Windows 7 64 Bit, hundreds of updates later, I reinstalled Steam. Installed The Witcher 2 from steam back up but it will not register. So I tried the following steps.

- Running the Register.exe - seem to register but the game launcher still reads "Registered User".
- Removed previous Steam version - deleted the folder and reinstalled via Steam download, not the backup. No luck.
- Both Patch options do not work. I receive this error "No patch data was found".

I can play the game from my old saves, but it would be nice to have it registered again.

If someone could help me out with the registration would be great.

Cheers

Registered Users is correct . If it wasn`t registered you would get a message in the bottom of the launcher saying something to the effect of registering the game would give additional benefits or something similar .

Thanks Tommy,

The launcher has the following text at the bottom. "The Witcher 2 v 2.0 has arrived! Please register for free to take advantage of the exciting new features like leader boards and social media tie-ins!".

The read me file has "The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings v. 2.1 ReadMe file Update – November 17, 2011".

Does this sound right to you?

Thanks for your time.

Yep mine says exactly the same thing ! I think before registering it says something about registering to receive DLC`s and free game updates .
