Need some help here. I just got the enhanced addition for christmas. I have it all installed including patch 1.5. When I try to launch the game even as administrator I get a window saying "Warning! Minimum System Requirements not met"
I am at a total loss of what to do here. These are both mine and my husbands computer specs:
Dell XPS L702X
Intel® Core i7-2630M CPU @2.00GHz
Windows 7 Service Pack 1 64 operating bit
Memory: 8 Ram
Processor: Intel Core i7
Graphics card: 3 GB Ram card
Our computers can run Starcraft 2, Dragon Age Origins,Awakenings and DA 2 on high graphics. Anyone have any ideas why I can't run this? am so disappointed I want to scream and stab something.
ssssssssssssssss

If the Dell 702 has optimus which i`m almost sure it does , then try the following
1. Open NVIDIA Control Panel
2. Select: Advanced View
3. Navigate to: Manage 3D Settings
4. Select tab entitled: Program Settings
5. Use the "Add" button to find and add the .exe file(s) for the game(s)
you would like to use the Nvidia card for
6. Select the option "High Performance NVIDIA Processor"
7. Click on "Apply"
8. Exit the NVIDIA Control Panel
I think i` might have had a little too much egg nog but are both computers the same

I had the same problem, but I got the game to run absolutely smoothly on my laptop.
What I did to override the system requirement check (without any risk to my game files):
1. Find your The Witcher program files folder (for me, it was, but this folder location is different if you did not install it with Steam). Basically, you are looking for the folder which has the Data, directx, Launcher, etc folders and a bunch of files including the launcher application.
2. Go into the "System" folder that is within the aforementioned folder.
3. There should be an application called "witcher." This is the actual application EXE that the game uses to run. Right click it, create shortcut.
4. Right click the newly created shortcut file, and click on properties.
5. Now here's the important part. See where it says "Target:" and lists the file location in quotes? If you'll notice, this part is editable (the location). What you're going to do is add a shortcut parameter. Click after the last quotation mark around this part, hit space and type "-dontForceMinReqs" (without the quotes). So for me, the "Target" box now looks like this: (again, my file location may be different than yours)
6. Click Apply then OK.
7. Move the shortcut wherever you want - desktop, game folder, anywhere. You will have to start the game using this shortcut from now on.
That did it for me! All this does is bypasses the system requirement check whenever you start the game using this new shortcut. Although your system may meet the requirements, for some reason the check doesn't work for everyone, which is also what happened to me.
Good luck! If you have any more questions, let me know!
