Hi, I have a list of problems...
The Tutorial is stuttering like crazy and lagging and it s unplayable...
In arena mode or story, its fonctionnal (barely)
In singleplayer, Lots of graphical bugs and Lagging.
At some point, the game freeze and I can't do anything but Pressing CTRL+ALT+DEL to unfreeze the game...
Now, the freezing makes the game Unplayable because it constant... and annoying.
Here are my spec
GeForce GT 325M (Im on a laptop, and I got the latest drivers)
4 Go Ram
Windows 7 64-bits
M 430 @ 2.27 GHZ 2.27 GHz
I bought the game on STEAM
1 last thing
When I verify the integrity of the game cache, there is always 1 file that failed verification and that need to be redownloaded
Its a 688 bytes file and I dont know what file fail's
When the file finish redownloading and I try to play the game, the game does the installing of important component, Like Microsoft DirectX, (Step 1 of 3), Microsoft Redist Package and Microsoft .NET Framework 4 (which dosen't instal it but repair it, thats what the installer says after it finishes...)
Help please
ssssssssssssssss

Well, to specify, it's probably this part: "GeForce GT 325M." Did you make sure you met the system requirements before purchasing and installing the game? I mean, playing the game on a laptop is doable, but not with a GPU like that.

Does your CPU meet requirements? TW2 is much more graphic intensive than Skyrim.
At any rate, GuyNwah and Tommy are the tech experts here. You can P.M them.
For the record, I have a 4 core 2.33 GHz, and that's below min. specs. I can only play TW2 on low settings without lag.

I checked on the website

Why would my graphic card wouldn't be able to play the game since it meets over the minimal requierement? ›››

Here is a comparison between the minimum card requirement and your card

Shader Clock (MHz) 1350
Memory Clock (MHz) 900
Memory Amount 768MB
Memory Interface 384-bit
Memory Bandwidth (GB/sec) 86.4
Texture Fill Rate (billion/sec) 36.8
GeForce 325M
CUDA Cores 48
Gigaflops 142
Processor Clock (MHz) 990 MHz
Memory Specs:
Memory Clock (MHz) Up to 1066 (DDR3), Up to 800 (GDDR3)
Memory Interface Width 128-bit
Feature Support:
NVIDIA PureVideo® Technology** HD
NVIDIA PhysX™-ready
NVIDIA CUDA™ Technology
OpenCL
HybridPower™ Technology
Microsoft DirectX Compute, 10.1
OpenGL 2.1
Bus Support PCI-E 2.0
system requirements lab should not be trusted with telling anybody they are capable of running a physically demanding game such as witcher 2 on a laptop . Can you run W2 on a laptop . sure but don`t expect the same results as a desktop model and definitely not with all the eye candy .

I see... well thanks for the info.
So, If I play on low setting, I should be okay?
Also, what about the File that failed

Yes low settings and maybe a screen resolution of 1280 X 720 and windowed may give a little boost but some people can`t tolerate playing in windowed mode but it`s whatever you feel comfortable with . Maybe give a try for a little bit and see .
It seems you`re getting the first run scenario every time you start the game as well . I have read about it but haven`t done any digging to find out what`s causing it . Did you run the register exe if not you might try that . Another thing you might try is running the registry fix found at the link just scroll down the list on the left . I don`t know if either of these will solve this problem but it`s worth checking i think .

I'd try "run as administrator" first. It seems to be solving a lot of the problems with the 2.1 upgrade across at Steam.
