I just purchased Witcher 2 V 2.0 and immediately ran the tutorial (which I appreciated having available.)

It ran well until I got to the level up screen. I spent my talents but then was instructed to enhance one of my abilities by inserting a mustagen (I may be spelling this wrong) into an available slot. I could not find any slots, and the tutorial just waited for me to do so. Is this a glitch in the tutorial or am I missing something here? The game runs great BTW.

I`ve only played the tutorial once so i can`t be absolutely certain but in game if you have a mutagen in your inventory . When you go into your character screen skill tree you will notice some of the skills have a small circle after you have allocated a talent point for at least a level 1 talent in that particular skill . Now in the lower right of the screen you should see a circle that says mutate , select that and you will then go to another screen with the available mutagens just select the one you desire and it will upgrade that skill with a mutagen .

Same problem there is no mutagen in inventory or around the arena.

in game mutagens drop off when you kill monsters ( they are hard to get ) ... and dont use lesser mutagens , use greater mutagens.
in the arena you get mutagens as rewards .... at lower difficulty you get them at later levels but on dark you star getting mutagens from the 3 or 4th stage .

When given the cue to apply the mutagen press the "C" key which should open the character screen . You can only select the "training" section as all other paths are locked then highlight the farthest upper right in the training section and look to the lower right and you should see mutate ability , select that which should open another screen showing one mutagen then look to the bottom and select mutate ability or something similar and follow the prompt to apply the mutagen .

Ok that was WAY confusing. Honestly i looked forever when i finally noticed that button that says "mutate" at the bottom pop up. The interface itself is quite confusing i should say and it just makes the whole gameplay feel akward and slow.

Really. It took me 10 minutes just to find the button.
