It should not, since they've been removed since patch 1.2. If the retail version contains all the bonus content since the very first version, I can't see any reason for adding DMR again. ›››

Because that's the way companies like Namco Bandai work?

It would be good to find out. I suspect we'll know soon enough anyway, as there'll be a rash of "registration problems" in the technical forum soon if buyers need to handle some DRM activation *and* CDPR's registration for Arena. Which will give you mods a good excuse to ask CDPR directly about it :)

You could be right, BUT CD Projekt has promised that there will not be drm's anymore. When you buy the game, you connect to the net and the game is registered. Easy, isn't that? :)

Hi. Anybody knows if this boxed version needs activations and/or registering the game or it is cool as a burned version of the GOG 2.0 thing?

Thanks.

First of all, I'm sorry if this reply may be deemed unappropriate as it is kinduva reviving an old thread, but I think the info is worth it, seeing as how I had difficulty finding out what exactly does this 2.0 version include.

So, for those of you wondering (and google links to this thread when searching the witcher 2.0 retail) the 2.0 packaging includes:

-Game disc (the game is patched to 2.0 and contains all of the so-far released DLC)
-Manual
-Game guide
-A map of the "world"
-Bonus DVD containing Developer Diaries, promo pictures (screenshots, art) and trailers
-OST "2.0 edition"
-Digital papercraft patterns (aka pictures for you to print)
-A Hog Named Henselt pamphlet in .pdf

So, aside from the saving of paper on the papercraft patterns and the Pamphlet and obvious lack of that one coin (which I was really looking forward to, but alas) this packaging is almost identical to the first, premium one.

I still haven't installed the game tho, so I don't know if it requires activation, but the sticker on the packaging says it has no DRM, so I'm hoping the answer to that is no.

Hi Mettuck, and welcome to the forum!
No problem for undigging an old thread, might be uselful for a user to know what's in the game box, even for future Enhanced Edition buyers :)

Thanks a lot for the reply and the explanation. and I still would love to know if it requires to download anything before playing (aka drm)

And knowing if Atari allowed it to be relased drm free can be helpful about the fate regarding that subject of this other retail version that is coming ::)

no drm = more people buying it.

Please, Cd Project don't add any drm to your games!

@secondchildren - thank you for the welcome :).

@Mariusmssj - The 2.0 packaging, as it seems, is not all that different from the enhanced edition retail premium pack, except that the latter one seems to be more expensive and has a different cover art (I like the current one more, tbh). :)

Btw, does that site, play.com ship outside UK?

They do ship outside uk, and the price is a mistake  that is the price of the xbox version, you can check it. They will fix it eventually, there are no regular PC games that cost that much.
