Easy solution: spam bombs. I play as an Alchemist, it's really easy (on Dark)... lol.

The best approach for me is to start a new game on easy, which gives the option to change difficulty levels during the game. Then, go to normal or hard for regular play, switch back to easy to kill off the frustrating bosses you'd rather not spend an hour fucking with, switch up again.
