Almost out..
been reading and getting into Berserk lately.
It's better to watch the movies first before reading the manga. ›››
Nooooo! Hell no! Movies are so shallow and bad, they are terrible way to get into Berserk
(this is how most fans feel about it http://www.imdb.com/...hread/200722895). Anyway,
if you must, go with 90s anime series first, but def not the movies. New movies are just
cheap eye candy, and often even worse looking (Griffith looks ridiculous).
Ja sam ono čega nema
Ja sam ono što ti se sprema
Ja sam sudbina koja se ruga
Ja sam podli đavolji sluga
Ja sam istina koja je glupost
Ja sam budućnost
Da li ti se sviđam?

yeah that's true it left a bunch of stuff out I'm reading the manga (at Vol 15) but it's to be expected since it's a movie adaptation.
At first I started with the manga and I didn't like the art or story, I didn't like how the commander was a bishounen or how everyone looked like kids. I wouldn't have read it and realized it was good if I didn't watch the movie and gotten curious over the stuff they didn't include.
I thought they did a good job keeping the important parts in the movie, only thing important that they didn't include was Guts childhood (from what I remember).
I'm that guy who won that t-shirt.

Well, most of them, but you can't have berserk story without strong character development. And
movies have almost none. Berserk story is dark and emotional one, and you have to be invested in
its characters to fully experience it. Anime series skipped few scenes from manga and it was still over
500 minutes long (without intros/outros) while the first 2 movies together are 150 minutes long,
so... you can do the math, a LOT is left out, and story pacing is just bad. Most of the important
scenes are there (few very important ones, including my favorite, are not though),
but all of them are rushed and just don't have the impact they should.

Well, i can say that Twin Peaks have a cult status in Poland among people who are in early thirties. So yea i've watched it and its great. Not many shows can match it in terms of atmosphere.

We've been watching re-runs of Kids in the Hall. Great stuff.
Recently watched two horror-suspense films that I liked, Dark Portals (Vidocq) and Pontypool. The latter is an interesting one and almost more of a stage play than action film, since it takes place entirely inside a radio station. Also has a novel take on the zombie genre.

So I've quite recently started watching Breaking Bad (if the avatar doesn't make it obvious enough) and I must say I--like many other-- am absolutely in love with the show.
The level of plotting, character development, acting, etc is basically impeccable. An aspect I truly love--which is basically the premise of the show--is Walter's transformation from a brilliant and overqualified doormat into an ego-driven, amoral titan of a blood industry. The level of involvement Walt has in the drug trade business and how it progresses throughout the story, together with all the external events, characters and his own psychology, is so impressively written and gets more points from Bryan Cranston's superb acting and portrayal of Walter.
But a part of what makes the show work so well for me is Walter’s volatile relationship with his former student and current partner Jesse. I'm not talking about the chemistry between the two fot hem (which is brilliant BTW), but more on how Jesse is perhaps the series’ most tragic victims. Jesse--who so ruthlessly gets manipulated by Walter--is such an insecure kid who has seen too much and is smart enough to know what it means, but not wise enough to pull out. He has chosen his path, and in his growing existential outlook, he seems to figure that it doesn't matter anymore. Walt's and Jesse's relationship and how it evolves in the story is a key aspect what makes me really care for the characters.
Lastly, one aspect I love in all sorts of fiction and that I would have never have realized would be precent, is the presence of a magnificent bastard; Gustavo Fring. Other than simply being calculated, intelligent and unnaturally calm, he reflects the polar opposite of Walt himself. Similar but yet very different. I'm certain there is more too him then meets the eye physically, after the little he did in the first episode of Season 4. Going to look forward to this season with excitement.

Breaking Bad is one of the best series I've seen, can't wait to see the end of season 5!
Also, there will be some surprising things happening with the series
I won't spoil anything, but MAN Some serious business is coming about
Another one of my favorite TV Shows is Flashpoint, unlike other cop/action TV Shows I really enjoy the negotiating part of it in the series. I really recommend it, if you haven't checked it out, please do!
