1. How game important is learning to play and win the dice games? There is a monk with an item he'll give if I can beat him.
2. I'm into Act I now but I note that there are two Prologue quests that did not close. They are The Assassins of Kings (also listed as an Act II quest) and Returning Memories. Will they close as the story closes or did I miss something?
3. After finishing the Prologue there were only two side quests completed. Was this about par or did I miss a lot of opportunity to do more?
Thanks...

Some Basic Questions...

1. As mentioned in your other thread, the dice game with the monk has nothing to do with the game itself. It's a promo for Gog. Playing him or not playing him makes no difference to the game. The "quest" game in your journal, which starts with the three guys in the inn, does have benefits and is worth playing, but you can miss it out if you're totally stuck.
2. Those quests are supposed to stay open, so everything's OK.
3. Yes, there are exactly two side quests in the Prologue. Melitele's Heart has multiple endings, so there's a chance that you "could have done more", but if it's marked as completed you have a valid ending.

I believe there's one dice game that's important to the main quest.
But with dice games, you just need to win once to advance the quest. You can lose several times (and lose a few orens), win once, and you're done. Some dice players will play you again for extra rewards.

Thanks... This particular dice game is broken. I don't know what this relic/item is that the monk speaks of but if it doesn't have anything to do with the game play itself it doesn't belong in the game. To bad RED got suckered into adding a 'problem'.
I cannot explain why my system is the only one having this problem but clearly I should forget this particular monk/dice game.
I think I will pass this on directly to technical support.

I think the idea behind that monk's dice game was to win with a 2 pair, at least that's the only time I got the ticket from him. Even if I beat him with any other score (like 4 of a kind) he would say the Gods didn't favour me enough for this special item of his.

In order to win the prize Geralt must play dice poker with him and roll two pairs by chance. After Geralt beats him by rolling two pairs, you will see the notification below that confirms you won the prize.

My bad...I didn't know how to roll the dice properly with the 360 controller. Sometimes I go very dense. And this did get mixed into my laptop's heat CPU/GPU management problem too which drew me away from the solution which was to mvoe the 'R' stick a little to set the dice in motion in the roll.
