Hi,
I'm in Act IV and Alvin has said ~"I dreamt of being a Witcher and I wasn't afraid...", etc., and I can either reply with (more or less) "Wouldn't you rather be a knight?", "Witcher's feel pain... you don't like to hurt do you?" Or "It's not true that Witchers don't feel fear, besides, none remain who can complete the mutation."
Is the option regarding no one left being able to complete the mutation the truth or a lie? Wouldn't Vesamir, etc., or Geralt, be able to do it? With the help of Triss? I'm just curious.
Additionally, does anyone know how this affects Chapter V? I'm very picky about my choices and yes I've read the Witcher wikia.
Thanks for any help!

Quest: Alvin... Is this dialog option the truth or a lie?

I'd say it's a half-truth. The reason it's a half-truth is an Act V spoiler; play on to find out.
And yes, what your Geralt tells Alvin will come back at him; how this happens is a spoiler, but do not worry about your answer damaging the game in any way.

The best way to do spoilers is by including them in a spoiler tag, like this
On the "is it a lie?" question, it's a little vague in-game. There are strong hints from Vesemir in the Prologue that they probably can't do the entire process (i.e. the one that Geralt went through), but on the other hand, they were clearly expecting to turn Leo into a Witcher at some stage. So it's probably a half-lie. A Witcher, yes. A Witcher like Geralt, no.
