I've encountered something odd and frustrating which I suspect might be due to this mod. I'm currently in Act II and have begun to encounter invincible monsters. As you can imagine, this is extremely frustrating.
The first I noticed were the two wraiths in room above the Well-Stocked Cellar. Even after applying Specter Oil to the silver sword, I could not kill either of them. It wasn't a matter of them killing me first; I'd launch my initial attack and damage them, and then their health bars would freeze. Further attacking on my part would deal no further damage. I could stand there whacking away at them for the seconds it takes them to kill me, and their health gauges would stay stuck at 2/3 full or so.
The second such monster is the fleder that spawns in the corner of the courtyard with the Hairy Bear Inn at night. Initially I thought that it was impossible to damage at all because neither sword had any effect, but I realized that if I switched to one of the daggers I was able to damage it on my initial attack as well. However, at that point I would encounter the same problem as with the wraiths and be unable to damage it further. (This led to a rather humorous scenario in which I kited it through the city and it killed every NPC guard that tried to attack it without taking damage.)
The third invincible monster is the named archespore in the swamp. Same story as above: I can damage it the first time I attack, at which point it becomes immune to me. I actually spent something like seven minutes whacking away at it with an axe (because the axe can stunlock it if you're extremely careful with your timing) and after the first volley it registered no damage at all.
I'm playing with the Enhanced Edition Director's Cut from GoG and using version 1.6a of this mod from Nexusmods. Any insight you could offer into this issue would be appreciated.

[TW1] [mod] Full Combat Rebalance (FCR) version 1.6

One thing to take note of: with FlashMod and FCR the health bars are no longer accurate and are worthless. I think this is a result of the visible wounds feature, but it may have another cause.
Therefore, on most (or all) monsters you will see the health bar freeze at a certain point, even as you continue to cause damage.
So it could be the case that you are still causing damage and the monsters are just insanely powerful (as is the case with FCR). Do you see the floating numbers indicating that you've caused any damage?

Not every time I hit them, which is puzzling. I've manged to kill the fleder by stunning it with Aard and performing an execution move, and I've killed a wraith in the cave in the swamp by just beating the stuffing out of it. I'll note, however, that before I killed the fleder using the sign I spent a good five or six minutes whaling on it with a torch (still can't hit it with either sword; is there some sort of oil I need for that?) and that didn't put it down. It was rather odd: I'd hit it twice, because the torch is a two-hit combo weapon, and it would show the damage numbers, and then I'd hit it twice again and it wouldn't show any damage. Repeat for five minutes, damage for two hits and then no damage, and it never added up to enough to kill it. I don't know what to make of it.
Edit: I've just killed the named archespore. No floating damage numbers appeared for half the battle, but apparently I was doing damage.

If memory serves I think you not only need to have the correct oils for the monsters but also knowledge of the monster in question . Do you have any journal entries for any of the monsters you can`t kill ? Also be aware that the talent tree works a bit differently than the vanilla game . It`s been awhile since I played the 1st witcher and there are some things that i`ve probably forgotten .
