I bought the game a couple of days back and I have already sink 15 hours in it, pretty amazing tittle.

Nevertheless I have this annoying problem, after defeating "the beast in Chapter 1" I been earing the Heartbeat notification.. you know the one that splash blood drops in your screen when you are about to die.

At the beginning I though it was a potion a curse or something for defeating the beast.. but after 3 or 4 hours later I'm guessing it is just glitched.

I have tried to save/load,  quicksave/quickload and I have done the cache verification with steam.. yet nothing seems to stop it, I don't really want to loss this playtime. Can someone helps?

The heartbeat also happens if Geralt has high Toxicity from drinking potions. I usually drink then meditate for 1 or 2 hours (depending on the number of potions Geralt drinks). The toxic level goes down or is gone and Geralt still has several hours left on potion enhancements. The other option is to carry White Honey potions with you. But, White Honey will reduce Toxicity to zero and cancel the effects of other potions.

There's a manual!  It's not as easy to find with the Steam version, but I'm told that they DO give you one.  You might find some interesting stuff in there. :-)

Want to be IN a computer game? I'm making one, and I want a picture of you! See here for details.

I've made three new adventures for TW1; you can get them at corylea.com/.

I've also made a bunch of mods that fix bugs, kill annoyances or tweak gameplay; you can get those at the Witcher Nexus.
