I have learned Raymond is not Raymond by finding the corpse in the crypt. I was never offered the chance to pay 200 orens to him to get the last sephirot I need. If I go into his house and accuse him it becomes a battle royale and i think I run out of memory because after killing 40+ of the Salamandra the game shuts down. I came here and in reading some of the threads I am afraid I have really messed up.

I am willing to keep fighting the Salamandra but, not sure if the waves will ever end and trying to kill Raymond (Azar) oesn;t vause him any visible damage.

So am I screwed?

I have read threads of people fixing save games. Is that possible for me to do? I have no clue how to do it, but am willing to try. Is there a guide to fixing save games?

Thanks for reading and, I am really enjoying the game.....

You'll have to go back; this is a dead (literally) end. I think that, depending on the exact dialogue path, the Salamandra will keep coming until your game crashes, or Azar Javed will get bored and turn you into roasted "long pig".

I think all other dialogue paths offer a way through, but you must not accuse Raymond; instead, you should pretend to have botched the autopsy, even if you never got the autopsy quest.

Corylea and some others have played this route and may have some better help for you. See also this old thread: http://www.thewitche...p?topic=19913.0

Thanks for the reply. I read the other thread. Not looking forward to going back (way back) to the autopsy level. I must have 20+ hours in play since that point. If anyone has any way to not go back, I'd appreciate it.

I don't think you have to go back that far, just far enough that you do not take any dialog path that ends up letting on that you know who "Raymond" really is. You have to let "Raymond" proceed with his incrimination of Ramsmeat and Kalkstein.

I didn't even know it was possible to accuse the False Raymond prior to opening the swamp tower. I, too, found the real body, but never came across any dialogue options to accuse him early. Do such options get closed off if you talk to other suspects about the imposter before talking to him?

The "Something's been worrying me..." dialogue option leads to options where you can accuse "Raymond" of being Azar Javed. Some other progress will suppress these options, but I'm not sure what.
