OK, my first time playing.  I accused Kalkstein because that's where the story went.  Now I have to kill Ramsmeat.  He's in his house and as soon as I accuse him about 50 guys jump out of the woodwork wielding huge spiked clubs and I last about 15 seconds.

I can't seem to find anything about this in the "Guide" (apparantly because I'm not supposed to be accusing him anyway) but now I'm stuck.  All the other major quests are stalled.  How do I deal with Ramsmeat?  I've got level 2 Igni and Aard, and two more that I only just acquired in the swamps that don't seem to be any help at all.  Am I doomed?

He can be killed but it`s not easy . Bombs if you can make them would be really helpful here and crinfrid oil on your blade will certainly come in useful as well as runic stones . For signs aard is handy especially if you have the stun effect . Of course you may want to complete some side quests to level up a time or two if necessary .

I can vouch for it being possible on Hard. My Geralt was level 16, with fully built-out level 2 Group Steel and a Triple Red Meteorite sword. Prepared with Crinfrid Oil. Cast Quen just after the fight broke out, so he could drink a Swallow and start out with an unhindered first attack. Cast another Quen late in the fight, to buy a little time to regenerate. Didn't use any other spells, just kept pressing the Group Steel attack.

This would also be a good place to use Igni or a bomb, especially Zerrikanian Sun if you know the formula and have the bomb-making talent. But your fundamentals are solid Group Steel with a weapon that deals incapacitating criticals and as much damage as possible.
