The huntsman talks about a bat-like creature and a female vampire. Can they actually be found and killed? And if so, where? I've dutifully explored the entire cemetery and went through every crypt, and although I found Fleders, Alps and Bruxa; no special version with a trophy could be found.

Yes, definitely. Both show up only late at night, outdoors, at the north end of the island where the striga's crypt is. The garkains will show up near the fireplace at the waterside; the bruxa and her friends will show up along the path to the circle of elements.

There's a named garkain (Vesper) and a named bruxa (Lilly). Unless you notice their names or grab their trophy heads when you kill them, you might overlook them, because they look just like an ordinary garkain and ordinary bruxa.

But only kill one of them at a time.  You can only carry one trophy.

I just came across them, it seems they only show up after you deal with Adda one way or the other. I never saw them before, and thus ignored the island and missed them.

A question: I have a quest for cemetaur jaws from some refugees in the swamp. I've been two both refugee caves and attempted to talk to the refugees there, but all I get is some dismissive vocals. None of them enter a dialogue for me to finish the notice.

Does anyone know which refugee and where he is that I have to deliver the cemetaur jaws?

The "Desperate Father", who is by the campfire near the striga's crypt, is the one you want.

It seems confusing that the questgiver is not one of the refugees in the caves, but this fellow and his companions are also refugees.

And be sure to talk to the Royal Huntsman again, after you gave him the final trophy. He has a nice gift for you, but you need to start a new conversation with him to get it.
