I finally managed to kill ten wolves and get their pelts for Jean Pierre, only for Jean Pierre right now in the morning to be roaming around the pier. Where does he slink off to?

Also, I'm pretty sure I heard there were Elves in the swamp, but I can't find them. There is one Elf with the Druids, but that's it. I remember Gramps telling me where everyone is, but Gramps turned out to be a cannibal and I killed the bastard for it, so now I can't re-ask him direction. I believe he said they were somewhere in a far corner, but I'm reasonably sure I've been to all corners. Where are the elves again?

Also, anyone know who sells pure enough alcohol to function as a high quality potion base? I've got all these potions to mix, and lots and lots of ingredients, except not quality enough potion base.

No idea, but there's a convenient fireplace next to the pier, so just meditate there for a while.

Top left corner when looking at the swamp map. It's best to get there from the druids' grove.

You can turn any strong alcohol into White Gull. And White Gull is a top quality potion base. I've no idea if there's anyone selling high quality strong alcohol in Act II.

He shows up late in the morning; meditate at the campfire, or let the game run while you fix yourself a cuppa.

They're at a camp in the northeast, not far from the ruined tower and the Mage's Tower. Look for a catwalk heading north from near the ruined tower. From Gramps's cabin, go west to the junction just past the Neh'tza stone, then turn north.

Kalkstein and the waitress at The Hairy Bear are sources for the good stuff. If you have a supply of ingredients, though, you can save your coin and make White Gull out of cheap hard liquor like Temerian Rye.
The amateur tenor, whose vocal villainies
All desire to shirk,
Shall during off hours exhibit his powers
To Madame Tussaud's wax-work.
