Haytham is a great antagonist too though also suffers from the endgame. He definitely is in my top 10 and had the endgame done him better service, he would have easily been in my top 3. He may still be, but I'm still thinking about it.

At first it felt weird and clunky, but after a few missions and getting familiar with the controls...this game induces some kind of a killing-spree madness. Every step and every blow/shot has to be carefully planned, but the catch is you have to plan pretty much on the fly within a timeframe of seconds. It gets quicker and quicker, you die and reload and enter the mission without giving it a second thought, the moves you mastered so far being executed almost automatically and you try to solve the rest of this murder-puzzle.
A weird, hectic and twisted experience, but it's addicting as hell (and hell is a good word in this case).

Obvius spoilers about ending!
Both Connor and Desmond endings seem a bit rushed. Connors last missions are nowhere near Ezio's last missions (AC2 or Brotherhood) level. Short, shallow and unimaginative. Especially playing tag with Lee as a last mission...
They could have done greater levels easily with Haytham and Lee in hand...
At least Connor get better clousure via epilogue and homestead missions (Achilles
But Desmonds all endings were like this. Heavy cliffhangers without any in game explanation. I was quite had a rage after Brotherhood when Des stabbed Lucy....

I pretty much hate Connor, I think he's the worst Assassin so far
Other than that, I think Ubisoft left a lot of opportunities in the game such as the Boston Tea Party or the battlefields, they could've been done much grander and let them have more impact than they actually did.
And of course the ending, Connors ending was just... terrible in my opinion, and I've pretty much go of Desmond's ending because at the end of AC:R I got confused and I'm not really interested in Desmond and his party anymore
Though there are (of course) also some good things in the game, I loved the new freerunning through trees and houses, jumping over fences etcetera was great, everything went smoother so good job on that.
The combat system (even though it was still easy) was better in AC3 than it has been in previous Assassin's Creeds.
That's my opinion on AC3

Without spoilers, are you referring to the Desmond one, or Connor?
And since you had such an amazing summary on your Top 10 Protagonist, what did you think of Connor? I've heard people disliking him, but never from "valid reasons" since most people hate him since he is boring and bland (which I personally think is kinda the personality the game needs, considering the setting).

I was referring to the Connor one. But after having cooled off, I'll say that the endgame was decent, but the game was so amazing throughout that it deserved more than decent.
As for Connor. I love him, and I will write about him soon although I won't rank him (but if I were to, he'd rank highly). A lot of the reasons I've sen for people who dislike Connor are meh, especially those who say it's because they miss Ezio or Altair. Their stories are done (esp Ezio, he had3 games), get over it.

I played NWN back in 2002 when it came it, and while I enjoyed it, I didn't think it was as good as the other RPG's I had just played (namely Baldur's Gate II). Also in December that year I played Icewind Dale II. So, how does NWN2 stand compared to the first, and the rest of classic D&D computer RPG's?

Secondly, the mods, there are a damn lot of middling to magnificent mods on the Neverwinter Vault of IGN. They make the purchase worth it in and of themselves.
Thirdly, Mask of the Betrayer is a work of art, and the closest thing to a spiritual successor that Torment has ever recieved. Storm of Zehir and Mysteries of Westgate are not half bad neither.

Not all the quests are like that though the vast majority are. I dunno in ME1 you did a lot of shooting as well.
I do not however see a problem in the shooting mechanics of it. Sure it would be nice to have more customization but I seriously do NOT want to level up gun skills in a game ever again.
And as bad as ME2 can be...well if you get attached strongly to the characters and the universe then DO NOT play ME3.
No really don't.

ME1 had more or less the same shooting but more r-playing. You could have very long and deep conversations with companions, plus you could play with your inventory, select your weapons and armors, decide which one to trash or not, upgrade em etc. There were more skills too, tho the skills system is pretty similar to ME2. There was more planet exploration, even tho some people didn't appreciate much. In short... more r-playing.
Not ME series is the king of rpgs of course.
But as I said, nothing against FPS games in general. Just I didn't expected such a nerfing of r-playing side.
