Oops sorry for the delay.
I don't think I found all his notes, but I read the rest on the wiki. Really good writing, very compelling background story. I think it's more interesting than the actual tribes war.
PC does not equal Windows. Personal computers run many different operating systems, like GNU/Linux and, why not, Windows. PC games should be available for all major platforms. Let's not be handcuffed and tied to one vendor. Utilize standard, cross-platform technologies!

Probably 30. More if you're a completionist. I enjoyed the game. Not a stellar story but I enjoyed Wei as a protagonist, refreshing not to play as another white guy in a game. Fighting and gunplay are solid. Driving handles very arcadey. In the end I feel SR3 is the better open world game though. Maybe get it on sale.

What I especially like is that it's basically the back story of the tribal war. It sets the frame for the whole DLC.

Vanu Sovereignty is the best.
Just picked up Walking Dead myself. Didn't get very far but Clementime is adorable. I like that Telltale adopted the Alpha Protocol dialogue system since it forces me to think on my feet and doesn't allow for reloading it also helps make the game feel more tense given the setting. There have been several hiccups though. The game has crashed like 4 times and it's very frustrating since I can't just quicksave and I don't know if it's the game or my PC (doubt it) but when I pick a decision the game just seems to freeze up for a second and there have been a couple of times the scene continues but the game itself is doing nothing just a single screen. I hope I'm not alone in this.

I've been playing Legend of Grimrock, currently on floor 9. What a fun game! The puzzles are more confusing than challenging, and the combat requires constant dodging, but I simply like it. Great atmosphere, the sense of exploration is very well done.

I heard it's different from your ordinary FPS. If I mostly play BF3, will I like PS2? It has vehicles, it has some sort of territory/base capturing... ›››
I have only played this game for 2 hours and I am still very bad at it so take everything I write with a big pile of salt.
Its an MMOFPS. You have 3 giant continents divided into sectors that you fight over with the other 2 factions. You basically choose a class, choose where you want to deploy and go in trying to kill the enemy and capture bases, outposts etc until the whole territory is under your control. Then you have to hold it of course.
Example: Yesterday Vanu held about half of the continent. Now, we lost about a third of our territories and are trying to get them back, but Terran is the new powerhouse on the continent as of now.
It has vehicles, and they are annoying. But everyone can buy them for relatively cheap (you gain resources by just playing and spend them on vehicles, you reach the cap quite fast).
The game looks very nice but does not run very smoothly. I am regularly getting 20 fps in battles which does not help. The hundreds to thousands of players that it has to process probably has something to do with it.
Any more experienced guys can probably give you a better overview. And tips, I am in dire need of tips...

Thanks! I watched the tutorials and I'm installing the game. Will probably join Vanu too, they sound like my cup of tea. The whole MMOFPS concept sounds intriguing, I am yet to see how it all turned out. And yes, if there's anyone experienced enough to give some tips - I'm listening.

Join the Cobalt server then, so we can play together.
Whew, I just came back from an hour long battle for one outpost. The New Conglomerate was attacking one of our outposts so in the span of just one hour we:
1, Lost the base
2, Recaptured the base
3, Successfully defended the base
Now the territory is safe again and I would move into another battle, but its midnight and I want to sleep. Its a lot of fun once you go into a evenly contested area and not into an invasion right away. That way you actually see people and can follow them.
Its really fun experiencing the battle from both ways. And it fells quite "war"-ish with snipers picking of targets from afar, heavys firing rocket launchers into the building and infantry tries to push, all the while medics revive everyone either in the back lines or rush in with the grunts.
Btw, Combat Medics kick ass and take names. Seriously, use and abuse them. I am just cycling between Heavy Assault and Combat Medic at the moment and its working well, I finally contribute to the battle!

Over on the Planetside 2 forums someone posted "FPS FIX" which should give people a massive framerate boost.

Thanks for sharing. I already used the .ini tweaks that people posted but that only kept me at 20fps in battles. Not very nice in comparison to the smooth 75fps I used to have in Blacklight Retribution.
And its does nothing since I don't have an i-series CPU. Oh well.

Actually it's not that great. After I played it second time I found out that over 80% of consequences are virtual. Great game though.
