OOOH FIRST FIGHTS! :D

My first fight was against a boxer, real big guy actually. I used to do Karate though, did that for about 7 years, so I'm more a faster counter-like type of fighter.
Anyway, we got into a fight because well, we never liked each other, kept calling each other names etcetera, you know the deal. So at one point we just started getting at each others throats and that's where the fight began.

So I'm standing there in front of him, heart beating, hands shaking, waiting for him to throw the first punch, which he ultimately does.
Well, I dodged that first punch, threw some punches and kicks at him and at some point I lowered my guard a little and he punched right through it. Right in my face.
:l Damn.

Though in the end that was pretty much the only punch he could succesfully deliver, I ended up with a bloody nose, he ended up with a black eye and we called it a day and went home... Simply putted :P

Oh I did and I still do karate :) It's nice to meet another martial artist here :P
Can I ask you which one was your style?

Genseiryü :)
Got the brown belt, then had to quit because of other obligations.
I may pick it up again someday :P

How about you? :D

Mine it's Shotokan :) Same as you: I've got the brown belt, four years ago, then I had to quit because university and I started again this year, hoping to take the black belt. To be fair, I love this path (it's a path of life, more than a sport) :)

True :)
It's funny because Shotokan is described as a slower type of Karate, focussing on strong basic techniques and stances and later on (brown/black belt) with more fluid style.
Whereas Genseiryü is more of a faster Karate style with the element of surprise in it, unexpected moves and focussing on four (or sometimes eight) directions of attacking, both in kata's as trainings.

Even though this sounds completely wrong and I'm not challenging you in any way, it would be fun to see how a fight would be between the two xD

I know about that and it is true till you improve a lot, but I like this kind of training :) And even more now that I'm more or less the youngest of my dojo: I'm improving a lot faster and everyone has a lot to teach me :)

Don't worry, I know well what you meant: yeah, I think the same, it would be fun and very interesting to see a fight between us XD
You know, similar background, but different skills and trainings :)

Something manly (well not really) and geeky. So I drank like 5 glasses of red wine (and then came back to argue TW politics, awesome). And when I was done and went to the bathroom, I saw that my lips had gone purple, and went "lol Euron Greyjoy".

ASoIaF fans know what I'm talking about.

I do :)

I've been more the type to step between people fighting than doing the fighting myself, but was involved in a fight once when I was very young. Some cunt was being an ass, I ticked, and soon after he was lying on the floor. Feels strangely good when I think about it, although I'm usually a peaceful guy.

Never done karate, but did a bit of judo when I was a kid. Was troublesome to train, though, because it was in a different place than where I lived, and in the end I stopped going and focused more on football instead. It was fun though. One of my neighbours had a black belt, the father of one of my friends. Was said he had to go to Japan or some such place to upgrade further, but I have no idea if that was just kids bragging or factually based.

I don't know about Judo, but for Karate I don't think so: for take a black belt or more, there are stages, with different masters (also Japan's ones), and you should do some of them, training a certain amount of years and then do an exam :)

I have a belt, it has the severed heads of my enemies hanging from it. Nestled jauntily above my tutu, stockings and combat high legs, it looks quite dashing. If i'm feeling really fierce I also tie little pink bows about clumps of my upper thighs leg hair, and of course I always wear a tie, for gaining entrance to the better restaurants and gentlemans clubs.
I was once asked by a journalist what my thoughts were on the modern world slipping into ignorance and apathy, I told him, "I don't know and I don't fucking care!"

haven't ever been in a fight, I wonder why I never got bullied in school since I liked anime and was a thin nerd.

There was one instance when I was in highschool when I got mugged with my gf,had an ice pick to my throat and was frozen in fear. They took our cellphones(they were cheap and old) didn't take our wallets. Seeing that they weren't THAT dangerous my gf ran after them like a maniac I ran ahead of her and they ran away and we weren't able to find em.

Probably not evil folk just impoverished good thing we didn't encounter some real bad guys.
I'm that guy who won that t-shirt.

Nah, the rich are eccentric. Being just a commoner i'm classed as a nutter.

I'm sure that if we ever got to go out drinking, Bloth would be the Odrin of the group.

Funny story, the first time I heard them shouting for Odrin I thought Odrin was a dog... xD

Anyway, if we ever got to go out drinking I'd wonder who the Yarpen Zigrin, the Sheldon Skaggs, the Zoltan Chivey and the Dandelion is xD

Ere, anybody have any tips for making me beard a bit straighter, i've got me winter growth on and it's getting bloody curly. I either tie it up a bit, trim it or find some way to straihten it. I'm liking the Grizzly Adams look, and as me ex says i'm much handsomer when more of me ugly mush is covered. Mind you she wanted me to wear a paper bag, some mornings I could bloody understand why though.

A paper-bag? High praise!

Don't have any recommendations for the beard though. I don't have proper growth on the sides, which annoys me, so I can't grow a "proper" beard. Have more of a donut thing going on. Need to cut my moustache a bit though. Wish I had a proper trimmer of some kind. It's a bitch to do with scissors.
